"How is this dress? Is the colour suiting me? " She asked her husband.

"Hmmm. Yes indeed. " Her husband said without looking at her. It was a lazy Sunday morning but he was busy working on his laptop .

"Dear can you give me a cup of coffee. I have to complete this work for an important meeting lined up tomorrow. " He said tonelessly.

"Yes . " She said . Her pale and lifeless eyes glared at him.

'He appears to be in his own world. He didn't even notice what I was wearing.' She thought as she gave him a pained expression.

She handed the coffee mug to him and went to buy vegetables at the nearby stall. It was her daily routine to buy vegetables from the stall. A daily mundane routine with a purpose.

He was smoking cigarettes at a tea stand with his rogued friends near the stall. He was the tallest of the lot. His muscular body was perfectly placed within his brown shirt which he had loosely tucked inside his dirty jeans. He gave an appreciative sigh when he saw her. His piercing smoky black eyes noticed everything, as if he was completely mesmerized by her beauty. The tiniest appearance about her was noted by him.

Her breath hitched as she gazed at him for few moments. She quickly turned her gaze away. She felt a sudden urge of quenching her thirst as her mouth had dried completely. She collected the vegetables and hurried home.

"Did your husband noticed your dress? Her friend asked her in the curiosity that evening.

"No. He was busy with his office work" She said plainly.

" No worries yaar. Your husband is a nice man. Some men are not so romantic. That doesn't mean they are bad." Her friend said.

"No, he is not bad at all. I am happy with him. But he surely is short of excitement and passion. I mean we are recently married but he......." She dug her hand tissues deeply with her nails and disconnected the phone.

That night after warm lovemaking she was unable to sleep. She looked at her husband who was sleeping peacefully.

'It's not that I want an ornate romantic night with him but I see the coldness in his eyes. His eyes lack that fire .' She thought.

She remembered those smoky fiery eyes which had the ability to burn her body. The ardent eyes excitingly waiting for her glance. He was her fervent admirer. She suddenly felt embarrassed with her thoughts.

' How can I think of him? My feelings for him are illicit. I have a good husband who takes care of me. He never troubles me. Then why is that indecent boy so special? ' She thought in disbelief.

She opened her dairy and started scribbling poetry :

'Yes he is an indecent boy

But with a decent pair of eyes....'

She tore the page in a fit of rage and shredded it into pieces. She was angry with herself that night. She thought that she had done something that could question her chastity.

The next day, he was waiting for her to come at the vegetable stall. His eyes staring at her in admiration. Though he stared at her from a distance, his bold eyes made her happy and alive. His ardent stare bejeweled her with joy and fascination.

He was an indecent boy who never touched her. Ironically, he touched her the most.

' How can this indecent boy make me so happy? What ability he has which my loved ones don't have? 'She thought focusing on him.

Unexpectedly, she saw one of his friends coming towards her. Her face turned white. He came and tucked a small note inside her vegetable bag and went away quickly. She froze as if she was rooted at that spot. She paid the vegetable vendor and rushed towards her home breathing rapidly.

As she sat on the sofa tapping her foot rapidly, she opened his note.

It read:

'I will not say I' love you' but I will surely say 'I admire you'. Will you come to meet me tomorrow? Handover a note to my friend if you wish to meet me. No compulsion though.

From,

Your most ardent admirer.'

She chuckled. She giggled.

"O my God! His feelings for me are so pure and simple. Simple plain admiration. That's it. No condition, no expectation. He makes me feel splendidly alive." She said as she danced taking his love note in her hand and kissing it tirelessly. Dancing in joy she reached her bedroom and stumbled upon her dressing table. She saw her marriage photo frame perfectly kept on it.

She took the photo frame in her hand and gently wiped off the small dirt particles accumulated on it.

"This is the feeling my soul was craving for. Why can't you be like that indecent boy? ' She said looking at her husband's photo without blinking her eyelashes.

She tried to locate the same zeal and glow in her husband's eyes but all she could feel were his cold eyes.

"A heartfelt fondness which makes me sparkle and dazzle but clad with immorality.

OR

A legal drabby marriage completely colorless?

What shall I choose? " She thought.

She took out her diary again. This time she was determined to complete her poetry.

Next morning, she saw his friend waiting for her at the vegetable stall. Her eyes looked for him. He was absent. She silently went to his friend and handed over her return note.

"Give it to him as my answer to his question." She said and turned back to return home.

He was hiding behind a small shop. As she turned away, he immediately took her note to read.

It read:

We don't know each other,

Yet we are so near,

Eyes speaking our heart out,

Are words the only way to express? I doubt...

No fuss, no clout,

Plain admiration its all about...

Yes, you are an indecent boy,

but with a decent pair of eyes.......

Who adores my sight......

To make my day happy and bright,

Giving me the reason to be alive ........

The question to me is:

Whether to leave my lifeless legal married life,

Can I forget the vows I took as a bride?

My husband is always good and kind to me ...

I can't keep him aside,

Just because you admire my sight.

No doubt you make me feel delightful and bright,

But there are some rules which we should always abide....

I think dear,

Let this rendezvous be a fantasy ....

In which I lose my sanity ...

Though, I will never give up my chastity ....

But will wait for your ardent eyes passively.

His hands trembled as he completed her note and unconsciously tears started flowing down his rough face.
