Letter To Burn

I posted the letter along with a bouquet of rose.

I know it's not a great way to propose anyone but I was crazy.

Today, someone rang the bell. I opened the door.

He was a postman.

He handed me the same bouquet of flowers that had turned stale.

I accepted them, expressionlessly.

After he was gone, I searched the letter through the flowers. I found it.

I threw the bouquet away.

How could she? Okay, I was wrong. It was not a very romantic way to propose someone but still.

I took the letter and kept it on fire.

I wanted to see it burning as I was burning from inside at that moment.

But something caught my eyes.

Something was happening.

'Too' was appearing in the letter.

She accepted my proposal.

Not like me, in a boring way but in her own way.

I was so happy that the letter slipped off my hands and fell onto the burning stove.

Now, it is burning in front of my eyes and I'm sitting helplessly.
