Death! A Deep Sleep - Part 1
Death! A Deep Sleep - Part 1
Suddenly a strong wind blows
From some unknown direction,
Darkens the environment,
Shakes the souls around and detaches one
From one’s mortal coil.
Pale, cold, motionless is the body
The environment, extremely mournful.
A void, a vacuum is created,
Evokes a story of a loss,
Never to be recovered again.
For those live corpses around
The beloved is gone,
The flame of life has gone,
Never shall be seen that extinguished sun again.
Oh! Those close living mortals,
Crying their hearts out,
They become thoughtful.
When we are alive, the world, we feel
Is under our feet and never a thought comes
Of that fearful blow, the death.
Death, deep sleep is a secret
Towards the grave and the journey thereafter
We lead towards the tranquil state.
No worries, no chords attached,
What to eat, what to save
When to be awake, when to sleep,
Ah! No worldly thoughts!
The journey may begin with a ride on
Snow white horses with golden reins,
Riding fast and high,
Crossing the golden glaze of
Of shining clouds under their feet,
And with the sun shining overhead
So close, so pure.
Ah! It might be a tireless journey,
A journey towards a complete solitude.
But then, why should they talk about
The next existence?
Death, a deep sleep!
Is it the beginning of a new life!
The journey yet to be completed
Towards enlightenment…………
