SMILE

SMILE

Regret not the echoes that shaped your grin—
for a smile is the soul's sunrise, a soft rebellion
against the dusk within.
Even in stillness, it nourishes like hidden rain
falling on droughted dreams.

Recall—when did joy last bloom on your lips?
Perhaps in folly, when gravity slipped
and laughter danced despite the weight.
Dark thoughts crept in, cloaked in fog,
yet you rose—
light breaking through your own storm.

Tears carved vows into your resolve,
and though time marched on with wounded feet,
you found sanctuary in silent nights—
where mind and spirit held quiet parliaments
under stars indifferent, yet listening.

Among childhood fools turned sages,
you saw how kindness forged from scars
could chase away illusions.
Their joy—a lantern, passed hand to hand,
lighting your shadows with grace.

For every smile is wildfire—
small, but devouring despair,
spreading like sunlight on still water.
Even on fractured days,
bend with the rhythm of breath and sky,
and life—yes, life—will smile back.

It costs nothing—
yet gives galaxies.
So offer it freely, to strangers, to time,
to pain.

Let your smile be your rebellion,
your prayer,
your poetry.
