Eulogy To The Angel Who Left!

*To a brave woman I knew*

An angel whispered, "Take my hand,

And come with me;

Your work here is done."

Then a heart of gold stopped beating;

Two twinkling eyes closed to rest.

God broke our heart to prove that,

He is taking the best.

I sit around and wonder,

And watch as the days go by.

I look at all the pictures and ask,

"Why did you have to die?"

I don't know if I will ever understand,

But it must be part of God's plan.

I wasn't ready to say goodbye,

Your disease just overtook.

Even when you were bedridden,

You always seemed to care about us.

I know you are happy now,

Because you are no longer in pain.

Your struggles have now ceased to exist.

You made each of us smile,

And live life to the fullest.

You always knew what to say,

To anyone having a bad day.

I thank you,

For always being there.

They say in time it gets easier, 

I believe this isn't true.

'Cause even after all this time,

I still don't have a clue.

Know that we grieve for you,

And wish you were here.

You are in our memories,

And we hold them dear.

I close my eyes to see your face, 

Suddenly I feel a warm embrace.

I feel your presence everywhere,

In the gentle touch of the breeze,

In the scent and color of the flowers,

That rains that give me your kiss,

Among the towering trees that sour above,

As I look up the sky,

I imagine you spreading you wings to fly.

Although you're away physically,

You're always in my heart.

As tears roll down my face,

I know you are in a better place.

Time to close your eyes to happy dreams,

And wake to eternal peace.
