I wonder
How days pass,
Reminding us of the saying,
Life's a circle.
All those struggles,
My mother faced,
To raise me up,
And teaching us the way of life.
Holding my tiny fingers,
And making me write.
And today, I hold her fingers,
And move the cursor,
And teach her how to use a computer.
A teacher for many,
Yet, she's afraid of technology.
Her first online class,
Her voice was weak,
And I sit next to her,
Help her with the technology.
My presence makes her,
Mind calm and holds a feeling,
The feeling I felt on her face,
Like the first day, I left for my school.
She's a child now,
Seeking help from someone,
I sit there and comfort her,
My presence makes her feel stable.
What about your work today,
She asked me.
I put leave to help you.
I replied.
Oh! I wasted your day,
She said panicking.
No Ma, today I'm doing my duty,
The duty of being a daughter,
Things paid in return!
