My life is filled with darkness,

It’s been a total blackout,

Not a beam of light to come in,

Nor a source to illuminate around.

Though I had lost hope,

I had accepted it all,

Till my very last breath,

This darkness will remain engulfed.

Your entering in my life,

Was all of a sudden,

And arose this love,

Which was once forbidden.

With your brightness,

All the darkness faded away,

Everything moved on smoothly,

As we parted astray.

Tried every bit I could,

But nothing worked my stride,

Till everything started vanishing,

And I finally gave up.

I loved you so deeply,

But you left me in disgrace,

Found someone new,

Left me broken-hearted.

Don’t hurt me so much,

'Cause I can’t bear this pain,

Broke my heart into pieces,

These scars will always remain.

You moved on so very easily,

Without even thinking about me,

Nor you bothered about the consequences,

But I am still paying for my fate.
