ସମୟର ହାତୁଡିରେ

ହାଣି ହୋଇହୋଇ

ଜୀବନ ଶୋଇଛି ଆଜି

ଦରମଲା ହୋଇ ॥୦॥

ଜୀବନର ପଦେପଦେ

ମରଣ ଜଗି ବସିଛି

କୁଟିଳ ନିୟତି ହାତେ

କ୍ରୀଡନକ ସାଜିଅଛି

ନାହିଁ ଥଳ ନାହିଁ କୂଳ

ସୁଅରେ ପତର ପ୍ରାୟ

ଭାସଇ ଡୁବଇ ॥୧॥

ଜୟଯାତ୍ରା ଜୀବନର

ସମାପ୍ତ ହୋଇ ଯାଇଛି

ଓଜନିଆ ପାଦଶବ୍ଦ

ମରଣର ଶୁଭୁଅଛି

ନାହିଁ ଆଶା ନାହିଁ ଭାଷା

ଶଙ୍କିତ ହୃଦୟେ ସବୁ

ମୁହୂର୍ତ୍ତ ବିତଇ ॥୨॥
