December 4th, Just yet another day or a Day of Felicitating Valour?. It is a day to worship the Fabulous Fortitude exhibited
By Indian Navy as a result this day is celebrated as World Navy Day.
December 4th 1971 a memorable day for Indian Navy as it played a Pivotal role in
Defeating Pakistan's Naval fleet of Ships.
On December 3rd 1971 Pakistan had caused Destruction by bombing Nine
Airfields resulting in war. The Naval bases
Were all set to settle the score and teach the enemy a lesson.
The Team consisted of Ships named INS
Nirghat, INS Nipat and INS Veer and two
Petya cl
assed ships Katchal and Kiltan.
INS Nipat played an instrumental role in
The operation demolishing Pakistani ship
MV Venus which was apparently carrying
Arms.INS Veer destroyed PNS Mufahiz.
The Karachi port was destroyed.
Mission Python ensured Pakistani Naval base's condition on thin ice as INS Vinash,
INS Talwar and Trishul Sank PNS Dacca and the khemeri oil refinery was destroyed.
This valour explained the importance of The Navy as the Indian Navy introduced their Valour to the World.
