When the Goddess wanted to be human!

Please read Prompt 9 Branch 3 of the Interactive Novel competition for the previous story.

She sees both Abhay and Yuvaan outside the cave, walking towards her. 

Common Charu! Abhay asked to speak her mind. Yuvaan too demanded the same.

Charu looks perplexed. Abhay and Yuvaan took the two Zygote forms. Charu doesn't want to reveal to them she had done her duty to welcome the eclipse.

There is anger in Abhay's eyes and frustration in Yuvaan's eyes.

Where are Abhay and Yuvaan? What the hell is happening here? Charu shouted at them.

They are gone. Both Zygotes moved a bit forward. 

What do you want from me? Charu asked.

We want you. Only YOU. Both Zygotes said in a normal tone.

Charu took the sword hidden on her back and stabbed it in her stomach. 

No. Charu! You have done a foolish thing. Both Zygotes tried to save her. Her breath stopped. The cursed eclipse started moving from planet Antrina to Mars. 

Charu, wake up. The sounds woke up her from the phase of death. She is on Moon now. Floating in the holy water of the moon. 

Charu opened her eyes. A charming man appeared in front of her. The aura around him is brighter than anything. 

Charu is floating on the holy water. Who are you? Where am I? She tried to know.

The charming man introduced himself as the moon god. You are in my kingdom. 

Why I am here, God? Charu asked.

Charu! One day I and Goddess Athena were discussing humans. Athena is so much interested in humans life. Their love and affection. The sacrifices they do. The attachment they possess on each other even though life is short.

I believed Athena is simply obsessed with human life. I know it's not easy to sacrifice your life for someone. I have seen several humans who are surprisingly greedy even after possessing a lot of luxuries.

I argued about Athena's fascinated view of human life. I have challenged her to have human life.

I wanted to test her commitment to her opinions of the human race. As I have challenged, Athena was born as a human. That is nothing but you.

Me! Charu felt the energy radiation from the holy water. She stood up on the water and jumped onto the land. 

She closed her eyes again. Asteroids movement around the moon, space with no colour, the red sand on the moon. She is feeling it.

At the same time the earth, rivers sound, the NGO she is running. All came into her vision.

She is about fall. Moon God came and held her on his shoulder. They both sat on a flying mattress and it landed in a beautiful place.

Athena! See. I have created everything you liked. The river. Trees. Birds. Flowers. See. This is all for you. 

Charu is now behaving like half Goddess and half-human. 

She stepped into the water and played with it. Birds are chirping and the greenery around her made to feel accomplished.

She touched the lilies. Oh Lillies, see you are on the moon now. How much Lilly loves the moon. What wonderful poetry they wrote on the love tale of moon and Lillies.

Have you listened to it Moon God? She asked. Leave about them. You, Me and this nature. This is all you wanted. Enjoy every moment. 

She felt a jerk of memories again. Moon God! What about Zygotes and Mermitans? She asked with much concern.

He approached her and touched her nose with his finger. There is nothing to worry about. It is all the illusion of magic. Both of your races are on your planet Antrina.

Now we will go there. Your soul has to take your original body.

     She felt disconnected from this environment. She wanted to go back to earth. The children in NGO are waiting for the colour pencils which she promised to give this month. How beautifully they paint! Some of them can't talk properly. But, their humming to songs is the best thing anyone can list toen. Charu looked around. It is created for her joy. She wants to find the joy that is not created only for her.

Moon God! What happens if I don't take my body. She exclaimed.

Everything is under the control of my magic. But, you have asked the cursed eclipse to be stronger than my magic. It is irreversible.

See! There it is arriving from Mars to your planet Antrina. Before it reaches your body we have to reach Antrina. Moon God took her hand into his and tried to come out of water.

The cursed Eclipse passed over the moon. 

Come on, we have to reach Antrina before it. Moon God shouted.

She resisted and took her hand from his. What will happen if we can't make it?

You will become a human forever. You will lose the power of the Goddess.

Let me do that. Charu requested him.

Why are you choosing the mortal life? Is this because of my challenge?

I am accepting my defeat. You won. Your passion for human life won. Now please move. He requested with a whole heart.

Moon God! I am not taking this decision because of our challenge.

I loved being a simple human. I want to complete my life as a human. Not just childhood and adolescence, I want to experience every facet of it.

How beautiful it is! A small cell in the womb. A baby after nine months. Childhood, adolescence, Youth, Midlife, Old age and again vanishing into the earth. In between the bonds, relationships, books, poetry. I want to experience it.

Please allow me, her eyes filled with tears. 

The cursed eclipse reached Antonia. Athena's original body got disappeared into space atoms.

Moon God accepted Charu's desire to be human for their whole life. Go. Live your life to the fullest. After that, come back as My Goddess Athena.

I will take care of Antrina till you come back. Moon God sent her to an unknown place on earth.

Charu opened her eyes.

Now, Charu is ready for her next journey of adventure.
