What Do We Owe Life?

Life knocks on our door every morning.

We wake up inside our known body and known self and known personalities but somehow the life breathing within us is a territory unknown to most of us.

We try to figure out the best way to make our way through this dark oblivion by creating a role for ourselves.

This role is more often than not designed based on our past experiences.

If we have lived through a lot of struggle then we create the role of a hero for ourselves.

We tell ourselves that by enacting this role of a brave-hearted person we can justify all the pain and guilt of our past.

The roles we create in our lives are numerous.

And though we struggle to step into a new role, once we wear the mask for a fairly long time, we live the role so very seamlessly.

Now, the conflict arises when we wake up one day and suddenly fail to recognize who we even are. And sometimes we get so well adjusted to this mask that we live our routine everyday life, so wonderfully and so perfectly that the machines around us stand awestruck at the type of efficient heartless machine we have transformed ourselves into....

Being human must definitely mean more than a well-oiled machine who uses his victories to justify his journey. If this wasn't the case then the creator would definitely not have given us a sense of love, passion, kindness, creativity.

When did we lose this passion for life?

When did we lose this passion for being a magnificent creation capable of ultimate bliss and love?

When did we lose the passion in our own self?

Why do we question the purpose of life when we voluntarily Kill the passion needed to create this purpose for ourselves?

Passion lies is living knowing that life isn't a one day drama.

Passion lies in being alive so fully that we can create this drama for ourselves and yet hold the power to recreate a new one when the old drama stops defining our hearts.

Maybe, we should first realise that we are all stuck in self-created roles.

And then maybe we should look at life without our masks and see the immense beauty we hold within ourselves to live just as passionately as we choose.

And maybe, this is all we owe life.

To live so very fully and totally that life becomes absolutely enamoured with its own self
