We Saw Him Speak

We had probably never seen him open up this much. Never, ever! He used to stay silent during weekend gatherings sipping his Mango juice and listening to others.

He would put down an invite to join us for a party; Regularly! He would go to watch movies alone. He wouldn't enter the water when we went to the beach to have fun. In total, it looked to us as if he hated fun.

And now he was there, initiating a talk with a complete stranger, and going on for some time. What a change! She must have done some real magic to get this sort of a man out of him.

She finally left after a warm hug. We were really curious to know what really happened. We rushed towards him and one of us straight away asked - "Saale, you saw a woman and suddenly you weren't dumb anymore. When are you meeting for the next date?"

He just smiled and said - "She was a complete stranger to me and nor did she understand Hindi. But she showed the interest to listen even though she didn't understand a bit of what I spoke. And here you are, my friends, judging me and coming to conclusions without even showing the intent to listen".

He just walked away. We felt bad at first. But yes, we still felt, he might have lied to us.
