"High time to empower women," the chief executive said, "Behold our latest research." He pressed a button of the remote and a fairness cream flashed in the TV screen behind him.
"I beg to differ, sir," said a young executive. "I think that's idealizing a certain skin tone and pressurizing the rest to achieve this."
"Ridiculous idea, young man," the chief executive said. "Who else thinks like that? Come on, let's vote. This is a democracy, after all."
The voting was quick and one-sided. The majority felt that fairness creams were a good idea. Production started and within a few months, fairness creams were rolled out to the market. The exponential sales proved that the company was right to have launched the product, and women did feel empowered judging by the queues outside the stores.
So, all's well that ends well.
