"You did good." He told me when we got back. Little did I know that we would be staying in that house for a month without going out. Luckily, I was well behaved and didn't meet his nasty side. He didn't speak to me, and I just sat there day and night watching TV. He was mainly out doing business, so I was actually able to be happy and relax. I needed a wash. The smell that came off me knocked me sick so when he entered the house on day forty-six, I decided to approach his cautiously. He switched the water off every single day and left a man with me so I couldn't go and clean myself secretly. I was still wearing the red dress. I hated the colour red. I couldn't bare it anymore.

"Long day. Boring shit and annoying people." He rolled his eyes as I glanced over my shoulder smirking.

"Your happy. What do you want?"

He narrowed his eyes and I pushed myself up to stand. Turning around I walked over to him slowly dragging my feet.

"I'm in need of a wash. I smell awful. Is there any way that I can get cleaned up?" I asked him and he nodded his head in thought.

"Of course, you can. All you had to do was ask. Upstairs, second door on your right. Towels are on the rail."

His response took me by surprise.

"Thank you."

"You're so very welcome. Off you go."

He gave me a smirk and I stood there like a small schoolgirl as he wafted his hand. He wasn't in the mood for a conversation. I could see it. He looked bored.

"Erm, can I ask you another question please?"

"Sure. What is it?" He walked over to a wall cabinet and pulled out a bottle of brandy with two glasses.

"Are there any other clothes. These are smelling awful and since I'm freshening up-"

"You want some clothes. Yeah. Upstairs in the room next to the bathroom."

I nodded and made my way upstairs to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and got a shower. That was the hood thing, he always told me to brush my teeth so that I didn't get any cavities. He told me that it was important to brush morning and night.

Walking down the stairs in the short black dress I was ready to sit down when he called me over.

"Ay come here."

I nodded and walked over to him.

"You smell nice. Your hair is a little knotted up."

"Yeah." I giggled and he nodded his head.

He was starting to give me mixed signals. One second, he would be friendly and the next he would be throwing a book across the room because somebody at work had annoyed him. I was truly fed up with walking on eggshells. I would sit as still as I possibly could, dodge items being launched in my direction and try to ignore the negative comments that he would smack me with. Security men guarded the door each passing moment of the day. I was locked up inside his miserable world with him. I no longer knew what daylight looked like because he had the windows painted with black paint. Not that I could see through them to begin with considering they had glazed glass. I felt like a vampire who wasn't allowed to walk underneath the sun and it was summertime. I started focusing on the past and the good times that I did have with friends. That was barely ever but it still gave me something to smile about.

I was glad that I could finally have some privacy when I would go for a shower and get dressed. I didn't have any underwear which I didn't mind until day forty-three when I was met by my late period. I remember creeping down the stairs with toilet roll in between my legs. I was on heavy, and I was mortified. I had forgotten that I was a woman whose body was producing eggs. Darren wasn't in so the only way that I could get help and not look like I was dying was to ask his security guard who stood there and didn't say a word.

"Yep?"

He stood tall and stared down at me. I didn't know how to start. I was horrified by my situation.

"Erm. I have my period. I-"

"You need feminine products?" He asked me and I nodded my head. Within a second he was on the phone and before I knew it I was being bombarded with questions.

"Tampons or pads? Heavy or light? Contraception type? Brand? What day are you on? Black underwear or red? How many toilet rolls do you use on average? Do you eat chocolate to take away the pain? Are you allergic to any medication?"

The list went on and on. By the time he had finished, I had soaked through the tissue and decided to sit it out in the bathroom. This house didn't have a bath, so I sat on the toilet seat. I didn't know how long it would take to receive the products, but it came quicker than I expected.

"Here."

Darren threw three bags through the door and the items crashed down on the floor as he slammed the door.

"Third room on your left. There's a bath. I'll start it for you now. You just need to go and switch it off. Take your time."

I smiled at that comment. Was he ever around women when they had their cycle? I didn't know but I thought it was rather cute when I stared down at the bags and items on the floor.

Two boxes of light and two boxes of heavy tampons, three bars of milk chocolate, two bars of dark chocolate, one rose, two magazines with a pen to do the activities, a packet of five black underwear, four black bras Comfort fit, two pairs of fluffy pyjamas, one fluffy robe, two tablets still in the packet for pain relief, a pair of slippers, a big packet of crisps, a brush, hair ties, socks and finally some chocolate donuts with chocolate brownies.

That's a long list of items I thought to myself as I wiped myself and inserted a tampon that would last until I made it to the bathroom. So, he could be sweet I thought to myself. I was more confused than ever at this point.
