Trees aligned in a straight line brushed their leaves against each other courtesy of heavy wind. Some leaves lost their connection with the tree and spiralled their way into a deep well filled with water. They floated over the water to sing a song of melancholy following their separation from the trees. Neha seemed to have been obsessed with this well, located in the backyard of her house. She used to hear some strange voices from the well asking her for protection and also sometimes she felt like jumping inside the well. The lonely well always managed to haunt her to indicate that she had a great relationship with it in the past life. When she brought this matter up with her husband Karan, he just shrugged it off citing her loneliness to be her tormentor. But somewhere down the corner of her mind, she strongly believed she had a strong relationship with the well and decided to deduce why the well frequently haunted her. Neha understood that her husband gets pissed off whenever she talks about the well so she thought of sharing this matter with her close friend Meera.

On a bright Sunday morning, Neha met her friend Meera in a park engulfed in lush greenery. Both of them spent some time appreciating the beauty offered by nature before Neha slipped into the main topic she wanted to discuss with her friend.

"I don't know why the well in the backyard of my house continues to haunt me," she said. "I hearken to strange voices from the well and sometimes I feel like jumping inside it. Why am I so gripped by the well?"

"I think there was a close relationship between you and the well in your previous life. Do you want to learn about your past life?" her friend asked.

"I am dying to know about my past life," she exclaimed.

Meera revealed a secret house named "Past Prism House" located in a secluded area wherein a person passing through the huge prism located inside the house will lose consciousness to activate his subconscious which would then use the power of the prism to paint the past life picture. She also told that this was her only chance to deduce the reason why the well frequently haunted her. Neha was now desperate to enter the prism to unlock her past life and after getting assurance from her friend that no harm would happen to her she decided to give it a try.

Without disclosing this to her husband, Neha set off to the secluded area to try her luck to deduce her relationship with the lonely well. The gigantic prism house extended her a warm welcome and a notification popped up on the screen asking her to select 'yes' or 'no' for the prism journey to which she clicked on 'yes'. The prism door opened and the chair urged her to lose consciousness then in a matter of few minutes, her subconscious mind kicked in to usher in the story of her previous life.

King Karan Shah ruled the Bellary kingdom. The mighty king was a powerful warrior who frequently rendered nightmares for his enemies.

He earned the respect of the people of Bellary and also his courtiers for his warm demeanour and valour. He got married to a woman named Neha Shah who had two sisters, Meera Shah and the late Aditi Shah. Neha Shah was a woman with a golden heart and her pure love for her husband was much talked about in Bellary. The queen earned respect from everyone not only for her pure love but also for her impeccable combat skills that even frightened men soldiers. One day, the Mayapur empire waged a war against Bellary in their quest to usurp the entire kingdom. Karan, Neha and their soldiers marched ahead to fight against their enemies who were desperate to win the war. A heavy battle ensued thereby killing many soldiers in the process. Out of nowhere, an arrow came at a bullet speed to shatter the heart of the king but the Queen showed presence of mind to save the king from her shield. The strength and valour of the Bellary kingdom posed a stiff challenge to the Mayapur and its soldiers who eventually lost the war. Gripped by fear, the King of Mayapur ran into a hideout. The entire Bellary kingdom expanded their territory by occupying the Mayapur whose king had fled the battle scene. They looked invincible and a force that threatened any empire at present. Nobody dared to step foot into their territory leave alone wage a war.

The King and the queen were felicitated by the courtiers for their gallant efforts which were instrumental in the triumph over Mayapur. Apart from being with King, the queen spent much time in the backyard where the well was located. Every day, she used to bring water from the well and developed a close relationship with the well. The King and the queen painted their love story around the well because they spent much of the time in the backyard so the well was a witness to their engraved love story. It was more like a picnic spot for the royal couple.

One day, Neha Shah bent to see her shadow inside the well. The ominous silence around appeared to have stirred her premonition. The mystery hidden beneath the well decided to unfold. Someone from behind lifted her legs to ensure she lost her balance and fell inside the well. Can you believe it? Someone stamped a twist in the tale. Queen Neha Shah is killed by none other than her husband Karan Shah but why? He stifled his smile and turned around to see Meera Shah waiting for him in the corner. In a fleeting second, Neha was pushed inside the well so she had no chance to witness her killer who was her husband himself. Karan Shah had fallen for the beauty of her sister Meera Shah who through her enamouring beauty had managed to attract the king. She took a promise from the king that her alluring beauty can be possessed by the king only when he kills his wife, Neha Shah. Intoxicated by her beauty, the king forgot about what he stood for and took a bold decision to kill his ever-reliable wife to marry Meera. As far as Karan Shah was concerned, his wife's death was a prelude to his marriage with Meera. He then sold the false story that Neha lost her balance and fell inside the well. He also tricked his courtiers and the people of Bellary by showing a fake letter wherein it was penned that Neha Shah wanted her husband to marry her sister Meera in case she succumbs to untimely death. Karan managed to kill two birds with one stone, he got rid of his wife and also married the gorgeous Meera Shah. On the pretext of shedding tears for her sister, Meera not only married Karan but also made him her puppet. The King forgot about his responsibilities to rule the Bellary kingdom and rather spent all his time with his brainless wife which led to serious repercussions. Hitherto, his enemies had not dared to fight him because they knew he had the great support of his wife Neha Shah but now they realized the king's weakness and decided to leverage it. The courtiers and the people of Bellary were now embedded in fear because the king had forgotten his duty and is busy attending to the needs of his beloved wife. The King was taken aback when he learnt about his enemies infiltrating his territory but before he sprang into action, significant irreparable damages had already been materialized. Consequently, the power of the Bellary kingdom was neutralized. They couldn't clampdown the enemy force. There was no remorse whatsoever for his negligence because all he wanted to do was save his wife not the people of Bellary. He and his wife ran into a hideout to continue their love story which eventually lost its steam when they got killed by the enemies.

Neha who had been drenched in sweat was jolted back to reality in the prism house. The past life movie that ran in her subconscious dreaded her to the core. The burning anger that refused to subside penetrated through every cell in her body. She couldn't believe that her friend Meera and her husband Karan betrayed her in the last life. On the pretext of being a good husband, Karan stabbed her from behind and her sister sabotaged the pure relationship between her and her husband. Now, she could comprehend why the well frequently haunted her. She thought killing her husband and friend was the only option to avenge her death in the last life. She didn't want to reel under the pain anymore and decided to take sweet revenge against her enemies.

Neha scampered off to her friend's house but couldn't find her so she then marched towards her own house to kill her husband. As soon as she stepped a foot towards the corridor of her house, she happened to hear a conversation going on inside the house. She furtively glanced through the window and was appalled to see both her enemies sharing laughter. How did they become friends? What are they doing here? Are they aware of their previous life? Did they secretly marry in this life too? Am I trapped in the deception nest? The onslaught of thoughts seemed to overwhelm Neha as she took some time to galvanise herself back to reality. Their laughter further enraged her so she picked up a knife placed on the table that was used to cut mangoes. She knocked on the door and Meera opened it. She reluctantly smiled and then stabbed Meera multiple times in her abdomen amidst resistance from her husband. Neha then shifted her anger towards Karan and continued to stab him until her anger subsided.

"I loved you and gave you a royal seat in my heart kingdom but what did you do in return? You fell for that alluring bitch and to please her you even went beyond limits to kill me. I saved your life but you took my life. Now, the karma bites back in style because in this life I have the license to dig a grave for you."

Subsequently, she put the two dead bodies together and asked them to meet each other in their next life. The neighbours rushed to the spot after hearing the commotion and asked Neha what was the fuss all about.

"I killed my enemies who betrayed me in my past life," she fumed.

"Who are they?" they asked.

"My useless husband Karan and brainless friend Meera."

"Have you gone mad?"

"Why?"

"There is nobody here. You are hallucinating. Seems like you are seriously suffering from mental illness."

"What?" surprised Neha looked at the dead bodies but there was none present.

Who did she kill then? Is she hallucinating?

Confusion clouded her mind. To add to her woes, people started calling her insane which further augmented her frustration. She couldn't grapple with pain anymore so she picked up the knife and swung at random people to support their claim of her being diagnosed with mental illness. The predicament seemed to have gotten the better of her as she sprinted towards the same well and jumped inside to see her growing problems nipped in the bud.

Out of nowhere, Neha scrambled back to reality out of her dreams with a huge scream that threatened to blow the rooftop. Her husband Karan glanced at her like an electrocuted robot. She heaved a sigh of relief after pinching herself but it was short-lived. She swivelled to her right side to see a man she killed in her previous life. Is he my husband in this life too? Just before she could come to terms with the reality, a lady came from the opposite direction and ironically she was the same Meera. What the hell?

"Is this my third life?" she wondered.
