"Good morning, Diya! Wake up. It's time to get ready for school" said Radha, plastering a smile on her lips.

"Good Morning mom!" said Diya with a beautiful smile like always.

After helping Diya to get ready, Radha stepped out along with her. Holding her hand firmly, Diya kept talking to her about the happenings at school.

"Scorching Sun! I can feel the heat. My skin felt it" Diya giggled. Radha nodded her head and said, "Yes, dear!"

Suddenly, fourteen years old boy bumped into Diya and became furious. "Can't you see me coming? Because of you both, I missed my school bus. Now I must spend my pocket money and have to ply in a private bus" he frowned and started bad-mouthing her and scolded Radha too.

"Sorry, my child! We are sorry. I was preoccupied with my daughter's talks" Radha said with gleaming eyes and unzipped her handbag letting Diya's hand free for a couple of seconds. Diya became nervous and began inhaling deeply. Radha handed over the money and said "Because of us, I don't want you to spend your pocket money. Take this as my gesture of apology to you"

She held Diya's shoulder and rubbed it gently to calm her.

The boy in front of Radha was taken aback and he refused to take it. Diya said "I am sorry brother! It was my mistake. I am blind. I couldn't see you coming in my way. Please excuse me. I don't want you to spend your pocket money. Consider this as a request from your little sister" and smiled lovingly.

The boy became teary-eyed. He said "Sister! I am Surya. I am Sorry! Even I rushed. I should have judged your moves. Hope I didn't hurt you. I have an important class today. So, I hurried up. I will be careful from herein. I don't want money, Sister! Take care. We shall meet soon again if you come this way as this is the route I take at this time. I promise to treat you with muffins next time since you called me Brother sweetly" and held her hands to give a handshake. Diya chuckled and thanked him.

"I can feel the Sunshine in your smile, sister! God shall make your life shine brightly every moment" Surya said and walked to board a private bus after waving a hand at Radha and Diya.

"Diya is truly sunshine of our life. Without her, there is no meaning to my life. She brought the beauty of motherhood into my world. Her smile shines like a sunray spreading light to my eyes, filling happiness in my heart, and removing darkness and sadness from my soul. She is truly a born warrior fighting against the pitch dark every second and still trying to find a reason to smile. Blind people are those who fail to see the happiness within themselves. They let go of the shine within them by either brooding over the past or future. They don't think about how to be happy and satisfied with what do they have in their life at the present moment" Radha thought and held Diya's hand.

"Diya! Shall we go?" Radha asked, caressing her hair. She nodded and gave a close-lip smile.
