The Start Of An Awesome Journey
The Start Of An Awesome Journey
Amanda, a young, shy little girl was seldom noticed by other people. Everyone in her class loved to participate in daily contests and competitions. Amanda, on the other hand, hardly took part in these interesting opportunities. Whenever there was an onstage event, Amanda would prefer skipping school. Now, this worried her parents a lot. She never opened her mouth in class at all. Amanda's teachers always tried to encourage her to take part in these events but she always denied. Even if she would have to answer a question, she would remain absolutely still, as if she were frozen.
But deep inside, there was a lively soul, ready to write a novel, and tell others about herself. However, young Amanda never attempted to do so as she saw how others were made fun of when they had made a mistake. She didn't want to ashame her parents. So, all Amanda could do was keep to herself, and not utter a word. Her parents began to think that their daughter had no goal in mind and had no idea about what she wanted to do when she grew up. But something she didn't know was, her life would have a drastic change.
One day, Amanda saw a signboard. When she noticed it was another competition, she wanted to leave. But before going she decided to see what it was about. The poster said, " Go to Canada's most prestigious university- Keaton, School Of The Arts. Go to this website and register yourself. Write a short autobiography ( about 3-4 pages) about yourself and submit it. 10 lucky ones will get a chance to go to this school! This is Keaton's 60th anniversary, and we are happy to welcome 10 new students! " Amanda did not have any reaction for a second. She stared at the board with her mouth slightly open (for a change!). This is exactly what she had wanted since forever.
Amanda thought about it for a second. Inside, she really wanted to take part. But, she was also afraid. Since she always remained quiet and kept to herself, she was afraid that she would not get in and her classmates would make fun of her. She knew there was no solution and left. At night, Amanda could not sleep. She kept thinking about what she could lose. Going to Keaton School Of The Arts was a dream come true for her. She didn't know what to do. If she wouldn't register, she would regret not doing it. And if she would, she would be afraid of what could happen. Amanda couldn't make a proper decision.
She couldn't take the fact that she'd lose such a big opportunity, so she started writing. She wrote about herself, she wrote about her story, her fears and whatever came to her mind. Amanda wrote about her dreams, and what she was capable of. But in the end, it all was a question mark, she didn't know what would happen to her life. Without thinking about anything, Amanda clicked the submit button.
What could have happened next? Did Amanda get in or not? Did her dreams come true?
