The Sacrifice
The Sacrifice
The girl looked very tensed and was thinking to herself, "Which is the better choice?" Both the options were very important to that simple-looking Indian girl. (Let's look into the past and know what really happened). Sunaina was an average-looking woman with an average life. She had been working in India as a doctor for around 5 years. She was so skilled at her job that she was given the title of "Miss Perfectionist." She was just like her title: "perfect," and she couldn't tolerate clumsiness or any type of mistake while doing her job. But there was one drawback, even though she was excellent in her skills: communicating with patients was a little tough for her, but she still managed to do the job. Sunaina was patriotic and never even dreamt of leaving her country and living somewhere else. She was unlike other people of her age, as people her age dream of finding a romantic partner, travelling the world, or getting a well-paying job in another country. She only wished to continue her life as a mere cardiologist and, as in her younger days, live a comfortable life with her savings. It was like it was forbidden to talk about dating or marriage in front of her. She believed that during work, the only thing you should focus on is your work and patients. One day, a guy enters the hospital, and everyone is astonished to see such a handsome dude with blue eyes, a sharp jawline, and light brown hair. Every nurse started crushing over him and wondering who that charming prince was. He entered Sunaina's boss cabin and sat down elegantly, and with a deep but soothing voice, he said, "Hi, I am Samuel." The head immediately got off her chair and greeted him with a warm handshake. She looked at him as someone who could even buy the hospital. She said, "Hi, Mr. Samuels, I am Nikita, the head of MR Hospital. I only asked your father, Mr. Smith, to send you here, "so you can educate us with your techniques and do some charity." She rang the bell on her desk while looking into Samuel's eyes. The assistant knocked on the door, and she gestured for him to come in. "Go and call Sunaina; he will be working with her." Sunaina was lost in her papers, checking every patient's health and searching for their diseases. as if she was in her whole world and wouldn't be pleased if someone interrupted her. The assistant knocked on the door and said, in a very obedient way, "Miss Dr. Sunaina, the head is calling for you." She scuffled and got up, took her coat, and went straight to her office. She knocked on the door and said, in a very pleasant manner, "Ma'am, may I come in?" Samuel, sitting on the chair, got up to welcome the girl with a beautiful voice, and the head gestured for her to enter the room. Samuel expected her to notice him and then fall for him just like every other girl, but as soon as Sunaina entered, she looked straight at the head and acted like Samuel was never there. Samuel was shocked and couldn't believe his eyes. The head chuckled and introduced Samuel to Sunaina: "Ms. Sunaina, this is Dr. Samuel." Sunaina finally notices him and greets her with a professional handshake. The head continued, "He will be working side by side with you and will be helping you." Sunaina smiled and asked, "Okay, ma'am, I will help and direct Dr. Samuel." Samuel looked at Sunaina and said, "Sure, we will help each other." The three of them shared a good laugh. Sunaina asked her assistant to help Samuel get his stuff. The assistant nodded and gestured Samuel's way. It was the first time for Samuel to meet a girl who didn't even stare at his unimaginable facial features and only talked about work stuff. He stared at her as she was going to her office and couldn't help but admire her. He shook his head vigorously, as if he were not allowed to like her. The two met each other in the office. Sunaina walked towards Samuel, handed him the paperwork, and asked him to follow her to the patients. The hospital was very lively, and there were hospital staff gossiping around everywhere about "Sunaina and Samuel." They believed that both of them were powerful duos and soulmates. Samuel was great at handling patients, which helped Sunaina in many ways, and Sunaina could identify the disease just by looking at them. The flowers between both of them started to bloom, and they both started liking each other. As the day passed by, they met each other outside the office and enjoyed each other's company. Sunaina, who never had anything for anyone, started to fall for Samuel. Eventually they started dating and shared warm romantic conversations with each other. The two were so in love that anyone could tell it just by looking at their eyes. On Wednesday, Sunaina was about to enter her head office when she overheard a conversation between Samuel and Nikita. The two were talking in a very mysterious way. Samuel looked really tensed, while Nikita looked calm. She said, "Good job, Samuel; you completed the deal and made her fall in love with you." "Now the only thing you have to do is ask her to leave this country and work overseas." Hearing that, Sunaina was petrified, as if time had stopped. She couldn't believe what she just heard. She ran straight to her office and sat on her desk to rethink what she just heard. Every memory from the past came flashing back to her, and she broke down in tears. She couldn't believe that the Samuel that she loved and cared for with all her heart loved her only for a bloody deal. She
remembered every sad and happy moment she shared with Samuel and couldn't believe that everything was just a web of lies. She submitted her application for leave for 15 days at the reception and went home. She locked the door and fell to the floor. Her legs had no might to carry the whole truth. She looked at the photos hanging on the wall of her and Samuel. She got up and smashed them down with her fist. The glass pieces broke and fell to the floor just like her heart, which was torn into a million pieces. She couldn't even worry about her fist, which was covered in full blood. Her phone started buzzing, and it was none other than Samuel. She didn't pick up the call and switched it off. She started weeping loudly and was screaming like crazy. On the other hand, he saw Sunaina's weird behaviour as she never cut his call. He felt as if something was fishy and went straight to her cabin. He learned that Sunaina was on leave for 15 days. He rushed down to the parking spot, took his car, and went straight to her house. He rang the doorbell and knocked, but there was no answer. Samuel had no choice but to break the door. He pushed the door with all his might and saw Sunaina lying on the floor, looking at her fist, which was injured very badly. He immediately rushed to her, picked her up, and put her down on the bed. He searched for the medicine and started applying it to her hand. Sunaina started screaming due to the pain he caused her and kept repeating, "Why?" While crying. Samuel looked at her and wanted to ask her badly about the whole situation, but for now he had to heal her hand. After wrapping her hand with a bandage, he went to the kitchen and prepared some turmeric milk for her, gesturing for her to drink it. She picked it up and started taking sips. Looking at his only love in that state, Samuel couldn't help but weep. Tears started falling down his beautiful face. He looked at her and asked her what happened. She screamed and told her everything about what she witnessed. Samuel told her that what she witnessed was true and that he was assigned to make her fall for him. So, he could take her to Germany to work for a bigger hospital. But seeing her undeniable love for her country, he never asked her about that and never forced her. He looked into her eyes, dead serious: "My time is up here; tomorrow I have to go back to my position." I can't live in India forever. Now it's up to you whether you want to stay here and work here or go with me to Germany so we can work together and knit more memories together. For the first time in her life, Sunaina looked so confused and worried that she scuffled and said, "My country or my only love—I never imagined that I would have to ever choose something like that." "This country gave me everything I needed, or you showed me a different side of the world." She took one sip and said, "I am sorry, Samuel, but leaving my country and my family members is a big deal for me. You know me, right? I love my country, and I would make any sacrifice to stay here. "This is my home, a place I am supposed to decorate with my talent." "This land gave me more than enough, and it's my duty to stay here and nurture it with all my strength." Samuel smiled as if he already knew the meaning. He patted her shoulder, gave her a deep kiss, and said, "Don't worry, Sunaina, my love." I already knew the answer; maybe that's why I was so afraid of hearing it. At least the guilt that I had for so long is finally gone. I was not ready for the answer, but he took a deep breath and continued, "I guess that's the price I have to pay after all." I want you to always stay the same, and if possible, in the future, I would like to meet you and welcome you into my arms again. "I have a flight today; don't come to see me, or I would not be able to go." After saying this, Samuel immediately left her house, as if he didn't want her to see his tears. He went in his car, thought about something, and went away from her. After five years,Both of them learned how to manage their lives, and even though they didn't have a life partner, they decided to make their job their life partner, and still, deep inside their hearts, they had this little hope to meet each other again. Sunaina was now working in India's No. 1 hospital, but thanks to Samuel, she was now not that strict, and in her past time she taught students in India's No. 1 medical university. She was on the highest peak of her life, and that was all because of Samuel, who helped her deal with patients. Now she no longer had any problems and was a real "Miss Perfectionist." On the other side, Samuel had now opened a new hospital in Germany, was also growing every day, and was still charming girls with his sweetness and good looks. Something very weird happened with Sunaina—someone bought the whole hospital and was now the head of the hospital. On Wednesday, Sunaina was called into the office by the new boss. She knocked on the door and said, in a very professional way, "May I come in, sir?" A familiar voice answered, "Come in." There was a guy sitting on the chair, facing the wall. As soon as Sunaina came in the room, he chuckled, turned his seat, and said, "How are you, my love?" Sunaina looked at him, and it was none other than Samuel. She was not shocked; she rushed down into his arms and gave him a big hug as if she already knew that he could be the only one who can do something like that only for his love.
