"Mom, come to the hospital now and get the scooty."
"Is he fine?"
"Yes. We need to vacate the room."
"It is 3 a.m. I can't ride in the dark."
"Don't worry. The road is deserted."
She was scared. She had learned to ride the scooty only a month ago.
An hour later, she rode back home from the hospital. She had to make arrangements for her son's funeral. Even with moist eyes, she could see him all along the way, going about his daily routine. The road he took every day. Till yesterday.
The deserted road was not deserted anymore.
