Seven years ago…

2019, the beer bottles are opens like a fountain. The mist of smoke stay around like a cloud. Group of boys celebrating the new year.

‘Knock knock', the door knocked roughly. “Joseph Joseph” a sweet voice of a girl sounded outside of the door.

A boy in the group suddenly took his mobile and checked out the seven missed calls, and realized that he wanted to immediately respond to that knock. He drank some water and flushed it out from his mouth with full force. And then, he ran to the door and unlocked it.

“Joseph, why are you refusing my phone calls? Right I’m not important to you.” She burst with anger and she noted the uncommon actions from him. He starts to wobble.

“You are drunk. You cheated me. Right, I'm the loser…” she broke into pieces like a shattered glass. And, she moved from the place.

“Adheera… Adheera… please come. I won’t do this again. Please… I won't do this… again”. He shouted with a voice of a drunk. And then he started to weep like a child. But, she didn't care about his shout.

The next day at SD College of medical and nursing. she sat at the canteen with a sorrowful face. Joseph caught her easily in that crowd. He made a board with a caption of “NO DRUGS, STOP CONSUMING DRUGS” to hang on his neck and he went in front of her.

She suddenly started to move from that place. She was almost to the exit. He entered in front of her and he started to beg. But she never came in front to forgive. It was not her intention too. He tried his best by showing laughter and some monkey dances. But she never responded to it. He got tired. A moment later, he looked around and then suddenly fell on her feet. He never left her until she forgives. She broke her laughter like a cracker and said, “This is the first and last warning to you. Don't forget”. She warned him.

She took that board from his neck and read that. Her lips extended to the cheeks, “If you’re dead soon, I'll write this caption on your cemetery” then she laughed.

“Can you remember this day?”

“Why? What happened this day?”

She turned from him with anger. Suddenly he made the locket to hung on her neck. A platinum locket. She was amazed and turned to him with an opened mouth and full of excitement.

“I love you … I do it forever dear…” he laughed at her face. She hugged him with full of love and tears are exchanged the love within them. He patted her head. A group of his friends laughed at them. But he didn't care about them.

“I wanna go. See you in WhatsApp. Now bye” she ran to her class and sat at the last bench and opened the chat bar in WhatsApp and clicked the name Jo. “hey Jo where are you? I wanna see you” she made some naughty to him. “Listen to the blackboard. Clear the seven arrear papers first”. He immediately responded to that. But, she never took care of the message. She continues her flirt by page to page.

“I love you” he sent a message to finish the conversation.

“I…” but she sent him a unfinished message. But the chat bar shows that she is online. He waited for her reply for minutes. But no use. He turned off his data and returned his mobile phone to the left side pant pocket.

Joseph and a group of boys standing in front of a cigarette spot in front of the college and crushing their lungs by sucking and blowing the mist continuously. An ambulance which crossed the cigarette spot at a high speed. A group of students walked back to that ambulance with a shocked and sorrowful face. But the faces are familiar to him.

“Hey safwan… hey Devi… what happened? And I know the faces who are walking fast in front of us. They’re Adheera’s classmates” his face changed to a critical situation.

Joseph suddenly asked a girl who is a friend of Adheera.

“What happened?”

“Adheera fell off the dizzy on her bench” she told it with full terror. And she gave him Adheera's mobile phone with a crack on it at the top. It may happen when it fell off on the floor. His eyes suddenly burst with tears. He couldn’t control it. It came like a falls.

“Where… where… which hospital the ambulance is going?” his voice messed and he continuously rubbed his eyes by his forearm.

“Universe hospital” she said with the same terror.  Safwan took his pulsar 180 bike from the parking and the three of them flew to the universe hospital. They can see the ambulance where they moved Adheera to the stretches. And drifted into the hospital. Joseph jumped from the bike to ground and fired his feet.

He repeatedly said the name Adheera and ran into the hospital. He can see that they took her into the ICU Ward. There he sat in front of the doors. And also weeping and crying for her.

After an hour, doctor came from the ICU Ward. Joseph fired up and stood at the doctor and ask, “What happened to her?”

Doctor simply removed the specs from his nose and simply stood for a minute and said, “She was dead”.

Joseph closed his ears with his two arms and moved to the nearer pillar and simply stood with a enormous amount of shock. The friends who asked the doctor about the reason of her death.

“How doctor?”

“The girl was dead due to the wheezing problem which she has from the small age. We tried our best. But… take care of him.” By saying this he returned the specs to his nose and adjusted with his middle finger. A group of people rushed in front of the doctor and asked about Adheera with full of terror and full of reddish eyes. Tears which overflowed over it. The doctor starts to answer to them. I think they’re Adheera’s relatives.

Later, the postmortem report has come. That shocked everyone with a single sentence. That shocked Joseph too. The report said that, 'Adheera, the major cause of the death is, Adheera was an LSD consumer'.

After hearing this all of them were frozen in the shock. Joseph raised with anger. And no one can control him. He shouts across the hospital.

“No…. She is not… she is not a druggist”. He shouted with the cry. It’s looks creepy. Who can bear this kind of pain. They are lovers for five years. The pain of his love is unbeatable and it would nearly killed him. At one side, the relatives stood for the body of Adheera and Joseph vexed his life. These all in the game of Life, and he must accept it. But he knew that Adheera was not a girl who consumed drug.

“Safwan… I had doubt in Adheera’s death. She was not a drug consumer. She offended me, she will really not be a drug offender.”

“Yes… it’s a thinkable one. But, whatever, we have to investigate her friends, all of them. Most importantly the hostel roommates”. Devi put forward his genuine point with a big eye. His eyebrows show the resemblance of twist in this death.

“Ok… first we have to investigate the college classmates” said Safwan by nodding his head.

They investigated everyone in the class which includes the boys also. Joseph, Safwan and Devi are the passed out of SD College of medical and nursing. The students in the class answered the same. “We don’t know about her, but she is not a druggist”.

“Is she really a druggist?” asked Joseph within them. He lost his hope about her. The friends tried to make him calm by tapping his back.

“ bro…”

A girl stood behind them. She seems like, she is going to tell something. They turned to her and lifted their eyebrows at the same.

“I'm her friend Isabella. She always used to tell me that she was suffering from the roommates. That they were burning something to smoke. And they use the addictive stuffs”. After hearing this from the girl, Joseph was ready to hunt the girls in the hostel.

They simply entered into the private women hostel. The watchman gave some noise at the gate while they simply entered into the hostel. The three of them banged the watchman and threw him into his room and locked it. They search those girls, room by room.

“Who is Meha, Aditi, Swathi?” Joseph shouted at them.

“Second floor, 333”. A girl from room number 101 replied with the real panic. The three of them smashed the door of 333 and started their hunt towards the girls. Joseph suddenly jumped in and stretched a girl's throat and made her lean on the wall. Safwan and Devi, and also the girls remains in the room tried to separate him from her. It's too hard to split them. Finally it had done. The girls in the other rooms came to the outside of the room 333.

The girl who suffered by Joseph, suddenly sat on the floor by holding the hand on the neck.

“Why… why did you…” Joseph shouted with full intense. His eyes turned red and continued to overflow.

“She was dead… what the hell did you use to smoke”. Asked Joseph with the same intense.

“Adheera…  is… she dead…? When?” one girl shocked to the intense.

“Tell me…” Joseph again began the hunt towards the girls.

“Brother…. Brother… please don’t do anything. We use LSD squares for the addictive purposes. But, since last week we used to burn that and smoke. That’s it”. A girl replied with panicked face. But no one can control joseph. He repeated that action Every time.

“Go hell… you devil… go hell…” Joseph shouted across the hostel.

In the meanwhile a police man came into the room 333 and caught Joseph at the collar and dragged him from the room. The crowd standing at the corridor watched the moment and got frozen at their place.

A police man done a little blow on his back and say, “hey beggar, don't you have any place to lie down. Get up from the cemetery yard, it's a private property.”

The young man once again turned his head towards the name Adheera. He smiled politely and moved off.
