What is love?

This question is one of the world’s most frequently asked questions and it can have a very simple answer or a complex answer, yet it is always unanswered. Although many people may have different answers on what love is, there is a universal meaning to it. Even in the dictionary there are many answers to what love is.

Somewhere Love is defined as a feeling, somewhere as attraction and somewhere a temporary emotion.

I also believe love is a feeling. A feeling which can’t really be described. But I also feel that it is an action used. This action so called “love” is abused worldwide every day. How can such a sweet and passionate feeling/action be abused? There are many ways to abuse love. For example, men tend to manipulate women who claim to have “love” for the man whom she has had sex with. Women see sex as an action of love, while men see love as an action of pleasure. Nowadays, Men use love to have sex with women and have the pleasure rather than using it as a true action of the feelings they feel deep in their hearts. This is one of the most common mistakes love is abused by. Another way love is abused is that the word love is thrown around and used too much. People just say “I love you” or “I’m in love with you” right away like it has no impact in meaning. Years ago, the value of love and the way it was used was more cherished than today. Over the years many famous singers and artists have made songs about love. Some have made songs to make you cry, make you smile and even help you express how you feel about your partner.

It's pretty common to fall for someone who doesn't return your feelings, and it can certainly be painful. Keep in mind that just because one particular person does not share your interest that does not mean that there is something wrong with you. That particular match just isn't right - possibly because of timing or fundamental differences that aren't apparent to you at this stage. Remember "when one door closes, another door opens."

In the same respect, if you are a teen who has never been kissed or in a relationship, you would be surprised at how many other teens or people in their 20s or even 30s are in the same boat as you. Don't worry about a lack of experience; living your life and just being happy are some of the best ways to attract someone. The right match will like you just the way you are.

Heavy fog and biting cold all around the city; There were no chances for mom to allow me for a night-out. Still I thought of giving a try, and as expected, mom replied with a big “NO”.

It was 10 p.m. when we sat for the dinner; Mom got a phone call from the hospital, seeing her depressed face I questioned, “Mom, what happened?”

“There’s an emergency in the hospital, I need to leave. It may be morning until I return. Take care of yourself and stay at home.”

This news tensed her but it made me feel happier. I got a chance to escape and enjoy my new year’s eve. But the thought of my mother being busy even today made me little sad. Doctors don’t have a life of their own, they can’t cancel their meetings and enjoy. They can be called any moment in case of emergency. There’s no morning and no night, everything seems same for them.

Though these feelings urged me to cancel my plan but I didn’t. The chance to enjoy nightlife in Delhi cannot be missed, especially on New Year’s Eve. As soon as Mom left the house I called Shelly, my best friend, and informed her that no one is at home so I can escape out for the night out.
