Inspiration is a great source of life. If you are not inspired from someone you are not making your life. Neither or less we are motivated by someone in our life. That makes us pure and sane.

     I too get positive inspiration from my grandmother (Bismillah). She is the role model of my life.

     Being an innocent girl, who by facing the hardships of life becomes a capable and strong woman

It was the time in 1930 when India was under the British surface. It's Pink city named Jaipur was twinkling under the hegemony of Maharaja Man Singh II.

There was a small place in Jaipur called Chaukri Ram Chand ki. A girl after four sisters born.

Alladi Begum her mother delighted for again having the Salaam of Prophet Muhammad. But her father Nizamuddin Bhai worried about the bearer of the family.

The society's inclination for a boy forced him to even scold his wife. Alladi with heavy heart prayed to Allah(God) for a boy. So she changed her name from Shadmani Begum to Bismillah.

Bismillah is an Arabic word means 'To begin any good deed by reciting the name of Allah'.

Alladi in a fear of again giving a girl. She asked Nizamuddin to marry to another woman for a boy. This gave a setback to him. He declined to do so. Because he loved Alladi. But on the requeste of her he brought a co-wife to the house. But sooner the co-wife didn't co-operate and obliged toward the family.

Later in the year 1940 there spread the infection in Jaipur. Nizamuddin also by it.

He became bedridden. when Bismillah was about ten years old, her father died. Behind he left two wife's and Five daughter.

His second wife refused to live with the family. She asked for her Meher (Money paid by husband to his wife). She left the family.

Alladi was left alone with his five daughters. At such difficult time her father Saunya chacha came forward to help her.

He helped Alladi in getting married of her four sisters. Soon all her elder sisters lived there life happily.

As Alladi was a young widow. Her father worried about his daughter and granddaughter.

One day Alladi was in the kitchen making chapatis. Her father just returned from the Mosque. He called Alladi and said "You and Bismillah are the apple of my eyes. When I see Bismillah I got preplexed about her future. All her elder sisters are living happy married life. But you and Bismillah feel lonely. I am not forcing you to marry. But just think about the coming years of Bismillah. So why don't you marry again. Alladi's concerned for Bismillah and an urge for a boyled her to accep the marriage proposal. As result she married to a well known jeweller name Ajja Mia. Ajja Mia proved not only a good husband but a loving father too 


As the time passes on Bismillah became and intelligent. She learned from her father the furnishing and marketing techniques of jewellery business.

On one evening Bismillah with her cousins was playing in the courtyard of her Nana's house. she clad with choridar dress She was fair and white as like milk.

She was seen by one of the male guests of her Nana . The guest was Mubeen. He was fascinated by the beauty of Bismillah. On the very next day Mubeen went to his Nana's house and said to his Nana "You said that If you like some girl in form me I will get you marry to that match. Now the time has come. I like Saunya chach's granddaughter Bismillah.

His Nana replied okay I will talk about this to his father.

Next day Mubeen's Nana went to Ajja Mia's house. And talked the matter 

Mubeen was the only son of three sisters. He was tall, fair and quite handsome person. Bismiilah's father also liked him Ajja miaa put his request before Bismillah. With blushed face Bismillah nodes her head.

Bismillah's marriage day was unforgettable. Number of shamiyanaas wre placed in the big ground. Ajja Mia invited his all family members and friends too. Even his business clients far from Jaipur were also present in her wedding.

Number of sweets were made, especially the Gulab jamun and Raaj Bhog. Her Nana was more content than his parent He even called her a Blushed Bride. The tears were rolling while giving blessings to her. Now she entered the new phase of her life. She with her husband Mubeen was happy for having a prosperous family.

Bismillah was a daughter of a big jeweller. By becoming the wife of a driver. She never hesitates to do house chores by herself.

Mubeen even said to her that" Bismillah you are from a rich family still not tired in doing the house work". She just looked at him with a smile and said"A woman who can't even comfort her can't be a woman".

On seeing such attitude of her he sometimes helped her in house.

With passing of time, Bismillah got pregnant. Mubeen was very happy. He told her "Bismillah I want a boy like me". On such hearing the whole saga of her mother stood before her. Beinga woman she also met the same fate which she hated it.


On Friday she gave birth to a baby girl. Mubeen was off from work. When he heard this news. He with hard words told her that on next time he want a boy. On next time there born a boy from her. At this time Mubeen was very proud for having a boy. While playing with his son he said Bismillah why don't we again have a boy. Bismillah thought may Allah give him again a boy. But there born a girl on third time. On hearing the news of a girl he scold Bismillah. Bismillah felt guilty.

One day while returning from the kitchen. She saw his father sitting in the courtyard of her house. She rushed towards him and took his blessings. Ajja Mia just returned from Hajj(pligrimage for muslims). He said to her "My child I know your state of mind. At one time your mother came across such situation you are facing today. She suffered all that because of me. Know I realized how much pain a woman have to suffer to become a woman. You don't worry. look one day Mubeen would himself say that I am the luckiest person for having such a loving wife". on hearing this tears wetted her eyes She in low voice sais"May Allah that day would come soon".

He departed his house by gifting a hope for better coming days.

Bismillah was a humble and adjustable woman. She changed according to the situation. But this time she can't change. All her hope is on Allah.


On fourth time it was a boy that gave much satisfaction to her and her husband too. From than there was no looking back. One after another she gave birth to seven son. Every one was happy in the family. But happiness alone can't fed the hungry bellies. Mubeen asked Bismillah to talk to his father financially. On his saying she pleaded hie fathe. But his father declined to it . Bismillah went to his father house and said to him"Abba I know much about this (jewellery) business.

 From than Bismillah from a nice wife to an woman entrepreneur. She with Mubeen took raw material from her father. She changed the raw stones to valuable ones. Ajja Mia paid them after selling them in the market Now Bismillah was able to satisfied the bellies of her family.

The time rolls on her children became young. At now her son's helped in the business.

while at one day on the dinner time. One of her son Moin asked her. "Amma we are now young and are capable of continuing the business. Why don't you take leave from now?vWe don't liked your soaring fingers making the stones. We want you to see in rest and relaxed life".

Bismillah said "If you all want me to not to work now. It's okay I agree, I also want my weak bones to rest.


Bismillah with her family was happy. Now all his sons daughters got married to suitable matches. There was a light in her son's capabilities. Her son Mujeeb asked her mother to further flourished the business to remote places. So he took some stones to Delhi. Delhi was a new place. Mujeeb contacted a trusted client from Delhi. he took money from him and sold the real stones to him.

 Slowly slowly he got demand from other buyers also. Soon he bought a new flat there. As the time rolling down he with the help of other brothers bought not only number of houses but shops in five star hotels too. Gradually the became renowned jewellers of Delhi.

Bismillah's five son shifted to Delhi and three remained with her in Jaipur. All the son now are having their children too.

Bismillah from a mother changed to a grandmother. Her grandchildren used to call her Amma Saheb. She was fond of her grandchildren especially her granddaughters. She even strictly treated her grandsons when the teases the granddaughters.

All her grandchildren encompassed her in the chilly nights to hear the stories.

She told the different fairytales to her grandchildren. The children said to her

"Amma Saheb You are not less than a fairy for us", She replied That's why A tale can be written on me ".

At 70 years of age she did her room work by her own. But when she felt tired she asked me to clean the room and tied her hair. I did all that as an act of fun She even used to call me Gauri or Parru . She was my best grandmother.

As the time rolled on Bismillah grew older and weak. One day she phoned Mujeeb in Delhi. With her shivering voices hevasjed him to come to Jaipur.

Mujeeb called his other brother and went to Jaipur.

In Jaipur everyone were praying for her better health. Mujeeb along with his brothers went to her room. As soon as he entered the room she merged with another world. Mujeeb didn't want her mother to leave him and his brothers .

Just drop of tears were bouncing on the floor. Her face was white as an angel She aduie to this world with a smile.

She left behind the message that A woman make or break the bond of love in a family and between families.
