The Fish

Gagan returns from school and runs to play, he returns back and sees his dad has brought him a surprise today, his father had bought an aquarium which had 5 gold fish in it, Gagan loved the gift and he jumped with happiness, he fed the fish food and saw them eating it, he would now return from school and look at those fish, he would also call his friends to play with those fish, he also named those fish as Goldy, Shiny, Rocky, Bitty and Sify.

He loved those fish and would take car of them very well, he would stare at them to see if they would ever sleep...

He also used to clean the aquarium once in a week with the help of his father.

After 6 months, all the gold fish died one by one and Gagan would always look at the fish aquarium and cry, he didn't go to school for 2 days as well, he always missed those fish.

One day at school he learned a lesson that animals and fishes should be left in their habitat as they love to mingle and play with their family and that's what they are made for and nobody would like their freedom to be taken away, be it animals in cage or fish in aquarium or birds as well, they must be left free, which makes them feel happy, Gagan heard this and thought about his fish.

He went to the lake with his father to feed the fish and ducks for the first time, his father said he would catch dishes for his aquarium but Gagan resisted and said fish are happy to be in their home, we shouldn't trouble them, we must make them a place to be.

They reached the lake and Gagan was surprised to see the plastics in the lake and litter everywhere, he without a second thought left his fathers hand and jumped into the water to pick up the litter, his father helped him as well and many people came forward to help them. The lake was clean now but many fish had already died, Gagan stood up on a bench and asked for everybody's attention and said them not to litter the lake as it's a home for the fish and they should be happy in their home.

Gagan remembered his fish and saw them on the Sky and people around him called seeing his thoughts though being a 10 year old and his father was proud of him, Gagan never petted any fish, animals or birds since then and he always used to visit different lakes and clean them.
