The Fam Jam

It was last October when I went home for Diwali. I had a month long Christmas vacation. We were wondering what to do. Finally my brother said, 'Let's go out for a week's long trip'. I immediately messaged on the family group on whatsapp to decide the place. After a long discussion of two days, we decided to go to Kerala.

We fixed the budget for the trip and divided the work among all of us. It was a going to be 'Cousins Trip to Kerala'. Both, maternal and paternal, cousins were ready to come along. Altogether 35 of us agreed to go for the trip. It was just cousins, not their husbands nor children. We booked the tickets and decided the places to visit.

On the 9th of December, we set out got into the train and began our journey. We reached ERS next morning. We booked our hotels and checked in. We freshened up and set out to our 1st destination. Kerala is known as God's own Country. I was amazed by its beauty. Every scene was breathtaking. We had soaked into the beauty of the beautiful tea gardens and the backwaters. Six days had passed in no time. We did some shopping and bought some souvenirs.

We boarded the train and set back home. The entire trip was full of adventure. And above all, it was a trip which got us together. I believe that trip got us much closer to each other.
