I had taken off from my work and I was alone in my house. Suddenly, the door bell rang. I checked the clock, it showed 12 pm. Who came now? My husband had gone for a business trip. He was not here. So who was this?

The thoughts rolled in my mind even though I was going down to check, who has come? In this confusion, I went down and opened the door. But no one was there. I just checked the surroundings but no one was there. I thought that the boys playing in the ground might have done this. I thought and left it. I continued doing my work.

Actually, I had planned this day to collect all my earlier works in one frame. So, I was busy in searching them. I got some. So I started reading and recalled the situations which had helped me to write the poems. In the amidst, the door bell rang. I stared. I started thinking, is anyone playing with me or has someone come actually? The sound broke my thoughts. It rang for some more time. So I went down and opened the door. But no one was there.

The sound was real or not? Maybe I was confused. I doubted myself. I looked all around but found none.

I closed the door and in that mood, I listened the footsteps on the first floor. I feared to go there. The steps were moving rapidly and sometimes slowly. I didn't dare to go up and check, who was there. Due to that fear, I couldn't stay at one place. What am I doing now? My brain blanked. It was not working. It was so horrible for me to spend time in that situation. Time was going on but my mind was not working because my phone was in my room. How do I get it? So I had no choice to call anyone.

I didn't listen any sound now, but I feared more. So I was not moving an inch from my position. I decided to run away, at the same time the footsteps also started moving. The sound closely reached my ears. I felt my heart would come to my pocket. My heartbeat raised. What to do now?

It was around 4 pm. I decided whatever would happen to me, I won't care. I just wanted to leave from here. So I dared to rush the door and opened it. And jumped out like a rocket.

I dashed my husband. He asked me, what happened? I cried and cried and told him about it. He checked all the rooms and surroundings but nobody was there.

He just laughed at me and told me it was only your illusion not real.
