THE CURIOUS STORK

Suzy the stork and Penny the peacock were best of friends. Suzy the stork was always curious. She kept asking questions about everything and everybody. 

 One day Penny the peacock tried to switch on the light right after taking bath. Suzy stopped her.

 “Never touch a light switch when you are wet. It is dangerous. Always be dry and wear rubber slippers when you touch switches.

 “Oh thank you Suzy, I didn’t know that!” said Penny.

 In the evening that day, after playing in the ground, Penny looked up at the sky to see the beautiful moon.

 She said, “How wonderful will it be if we had two moons!”

 Suzy replied “Our Earth has only one moon. But there are 82 moons for Planet Saturn, Penny”

 “Oh wow. I didn’t know that!” said Penny.

 One day Penny came running to Suzy. She was tensed.

 “What is the matter, Penny?” asked Suzy.

 “My tooth, my tooth” sobbed Penny.

 “What happened to your tooth?” asked Suzy.

 “It fell down. Look here. How can I put it back?” cried Penny.

 “Oh silly!” smiled Suzy. “That is just your milk tooth. They fall out for everyone and the new ones will come. It is called Permanent tooth. Don’t worry”

 “Oh really! I didn’t know that! How do you know all this Suzy?”

 “I always ask questions when I don’t know something. That is how”, said Suzy.

 “From now on, I will also be curious”, promised Penny.
