GIRAFFE AND THE MONKEYS

A group of monkeys were playing in a garden. A giraffe came to the garden. He saw the monkeys and asked them, “Can I play with you?”

The monkeys started laughing. They said, “If you want to play with us, you have to jump like us.”

The giraffe said “let me try”. The giraffe tried to jump and fell down. The monkeys laughed at him.

They said “Try again”. The giraffe tried and fell down again. The monkeys laughed and laughed. 

The giraffe started to cry. He sat on a bench. He felt very sad. 

Just then an elephant entered the garden. He saw the sad giraffe and asked, “Do you want to play with me?”

The giraffe said, “But I can’t jump”. 

The elephant said “That is alright, neither can I”.

The monkeys were afraid of the elephant and ran away.

They both played together for a long time.
