The Birth That Values

In the small town of Hyderabad Shailendra Nanduri with his small family(Mother and Father) lived for decades. Shailendra was the only child of his parent. Therefore both the parental affection and exception keep on growing for him. Shailendra as a child was a good student to score 86% on his boards. And later he got his engineering degree from IIT Hyderabad. Undoubtedly he was a bright student as well as morally educated. Although he uses to follow the traditional ethics on one side but on the other hand he was against every fanatism and follow the path of modernization.

After he grew up most of the time he had to move out of his hometown to secure his job. Two weeks ago he completed the 29th year of his birth and now he is 30. He working as a software engineer in one of the reputed multinational companies in Hyderabad. He knew simply how to bring happiness in life despite many obstacles that often turns our lives frustrated.

It is said that humans have to pass through mainly two simultaneous phases of life one the happiness and the other the sorrowfulness. Both are contemporary to each other. For some, it may arrive from the beginning and for others, it may arrive late. The track of life is smooth for none. The same thing approaches in Sailendra's life. When everything going right, then hidden, unknown but an abrupt storm was about to enter his life.

Suddenly one day he received a letter from the executive of the company. That they are going to start with a project on which they want him to appoint as a supervisor but for that he has to move to Kolkata for four months or may be more than that till the project got completed. They will also provide him free accommodation with a caretaker and there will be an assistant supervisor to take care of his needs and who will also work under his guidance.

When all things got settled he left his hometown and flew to Kolkata to experience a twist in his irksome life. Soon he made himself familiar with all sorts of responsibilities and started with the project. He was arranging some of the important documents inside his cabin, suddenly he heard someone knocking on the door and thereafter he allows that person to enter his cabin. He was astonished to saw the beautiful lady standing in front of his desk.

The lady introduced herself in front of Mr. Shailendra Nanduri. Saliendra heard her carefully. She said -"Good morning sir myself Sruti, Sruti Dutta and I am appointed here as an assistant supervisor and my role will be to help you in this project. Here is my C.V you can look into it if you wish." Saliendra became amazed not only with her appearance but also with her polite and sophisticated behavior.

Soon they introduce a team and start with their new project. While hanging on with the project Shailendra perpetually was in need of Sruti to assist in his work. And after one month of working and interacting with each other Sailendra found that the time built an affection and opens his new chapter the most awaiting and beautiful part of youth. One day while he and Sruti were out for lunch, Shailendra invited her in a restaurant for dinner. It was Sruti's 26th birthday and Shailendra noted it since he checked her C.V. at the very first day. He even planned a surprise for her.

Sruti was a soft spoken well-behaved girl and at the same time firm enough to handle any kind of situation. She never uses to share her personal life with her professional world. She was typically introverted but at the same time act lively when she spends her time with family and friends.

Sruti however accepts Shailendra's proposal of attaining the dinner with him. That night Shailendra surprised Sruti by keeping a small birthday treat for her... Sruti's birthday was celebrated through the opening of a champagne bottle, a cake, and a grandure dinner. Sruti got really impressed with Shailendra. But it was never exposed. After completing their dinner Shailendra did what he expected to do at that time. He obsessively proposed Sruti not only stay back as a business partner but to become his life partner.

Sruti got delighted with his proposal and at the same time deplorable too. She wanted to accept Sailendra's proposal by her heart but her mind pausing her to spell 'yes' in front of him. After an acute silence for some time, Shailendra first time realizes the drop of tears rolling from her cornea.

That night Sruti wanted or unwantedly revealed herself in front of Sailendra. She started telling her story. She finally exposed the cause of not accepting Sailendra's proposal. Actually, Sruti was suffering from endometriosis and her doctor told her that she could not experience motherhood ever. If by any chance she gets pregnant then she might be having a life risk for herself.

After a pause, Shailendra reacts with loud laughter. Sruti got surprised but after a while, Sailendra consoles her by assuring them that he only wants her support for his life and it will be hardly considerable, a baby for themselves. Even he gave her a word that he will never claim for a child and get her life at risk.

Everything was on its track. After the fourth month, Shailendra got back in his hometown. He had already told his family about his love and how he wanted to turn his love into a beautiful partner. Mr. and Mrs. Nanduri too accepted Sruti as their daughter-in-law. It was the time of happiness the spring had already arrived in Nanduri's courtyard. Soon after one month the Dutta's gifted their daughter hands to Nanduri's and found solace that removes the bent lines from their foreheads.

But every year's springs stretch for two months and this year it was not exceptional. One day after one year of their marriage, Shailendra's mother took Sruti to a famous temple near their hometown, where she has been engaged in a childbearing ritual which she was completely unaware of. On the other side, Shailendra was indirectly manipulated to move forward for a Descendents in order to save the hierarchy.

It was obvious to have a fusion when a force works which gradually turns into a requirement. Before the couple could celebrate the second year of their anniversary, Sruti became pregnant. Once again Nanduri family experiences spring in between the hot summer months. But soon their prosperous warmth became dull with excessive humidity.

In the first to the third trimester, Sruti has been kept under the observation of Dr . M. K. Rao. He is a senior gynecologist and practicing for more than thirty years. He however suggests Shailendra abort the fetus before crossing the fourth month. Else she gets a high chance of miscarriage which can put both lives at risk. But Shailendra and his family were so obsessive with their desires that they hardly care about the deteriorated health of the mother. Shailendra's mother put two more armlets in Sruti's forearm consoling her that she will recover from the situation soon. Her prayer will not go in vain she will definitely be able to see her grandson in a good health. She often used to inspire her daughter-in-law by saying she will also recover from her illness when she will hear the first cry of her son.

But these words sound bitter to Sruti. She feels irritated and at the same time tired. The pillow could not able to soak her saline tears. The poor body got to sink faster except for her abdominal part. Getting aware of his wife's deteriorated conditions Shailendra arranged medical treatment at his home. Sruti's hands soon got marked blue by the scars of multiple syringes. Her vein got tired by sucking bottles of saline and blood. Sruti's movement gradually became restricted. At the end of the sixth trimester, things got happened which was expected to be happened. One night Sruti shouted loud with her absolute strength. Shailendra and a nurse ran to her room. After entering the room what they saw was a nightmare for Mr. Nanduri. The floor was flooding with blood. The nurse immediately told Shailendra to summon Dr. Rao. Doctor Rao got shocked by the spectacle. After few minutes he came out from the room and told Shailendra by holding his cold hands. He said that Sruti delivered a boy. But the cancerous cell has damaged her uterus the fetus got very little space to grow in his mother's womb. So in this stage, both the mother and the child became feeble and expired due to immature implantation.

Shailendra's green desires changed its color into grey. Once more the trees shade out every single leaf and now chilled wind turns both the outer and the inner atmosphere froze.
