The Big Surprise

On Dathri's birthday she got a surprise. What's that? 

It was Dathri’s birthday. She was complete 15. Her father has arranged her birthday party in Inn. She was quite excited and had a enthusiastic mood. Her mother said “ Dathri my dear, I have called my friends and relatives so you should look beautiful. Go to the parlor, I have booked the beautician for you.“ok mommy”

She was so much excited as she never went to parlour before. Layers of makeup was applied on her face. Her nails were painted and her was straightened. She wore a beautiful crystal studded Lehanga

When she returned home her friends remarked “ are you birthday girl or bride” Dathri blushed.

Soon the birthday party began. There were funny games at starting of the party. Then Dathri was made to cut the cake. Everyone was overjoyed. At last when Dathri was lead to eat her supper her mother announced that there is a surprise for Dathri. Dathri was confused. ‘ what would be her gift ’ she expected her mother would give her jeans that she was waiting eagerly from a couple of month but the gift was beyond her wildest dream. Her brother who was army officer was seriously injured in a war and there was even a rumour in that family that he passed away, had returned home. Tears rolled down her checks as she bent down to take his blessings on her birthday.
