Eyes are something that attracts everyone the most.

But for Kriti, the situation was a little different. She was a very lovely person by heart, but one thing that surpassed her heart's beauty was her being blind! Yes! Kriti was blind by birth. She couldn't see. It had been 18 years since she couldn't see. Her family had accepted it by now but her mom couldn't! Well, it was because Mrs. Verma was insensitive towards her for she was her stepdaughter.

Yes, Mr. Verma lost in the first wife in a car accident 13 years ago when Kriti was just 5. A year later he married his second wife, Kamini, who was Kriti's current mother and stepmom too. Kamini had immense love for her husband but equal hate for Kriti. However, Karishma, Mr. Verma and Kamini's daughter and apparently Kriti's step-sister didn't feel the same. Karishma was 7 years younger than Kriti. She was 11. She knew how much Kriti had to struggle with her daily chores and thus felt bad about her.

"Mom, didi has to face so many problems, still she keeps a smile on her face. Isn't it amazing?" , Karishma exclaimed her mom.

"Look Karishma, it's better you stay away from her. Already she has a lot of mercy of his dad now you don't start!", Kamini said and left.

Meanwhile, Kriti was hearing all this from a distance. As she was about to leave, Karishma shouted.

"Didi wait! Look I know mom's words hurt you a lot. But I also know that one day she'll be the one who'll love you more than dad and I can!"

"Really? Will this ever happen?", Kriti questioned her little sister with tears in her eyes.

"Of course didi!", Karishma said and hugged her.

Months passed but Kriti's struggle with her life and her mom's love, both continued. She was still waiting for the day when Karishma's words would turn true. She didn't know, the day was near.

It was Navratri celebrations at Verma house. Everyone was super excited for the festivities.

Karishma and Kriti were enjoying it too. However, a few minutes before the Aarti, some oil fell on the ground and near abouts. It went unnoticed. And moments later, the same oil somehow caught fire! Yes! Temple area was now in the fire! And inside stuck was Karishma! Yes! Karishma was stuck in the fire with no one around. Everyone panicked on seeing her inside. On one side where Karishma cried like anything, on the other it was Kamini who screamed at the top of her voice asking someone to save her daughter.

Soon someone came to her rescue. It was none other than Kriti. Yes! Kriti although was visually impaired but still could think far more than anyone over there could. She got help from a few men around, called the fire brigade, and using her stick went near to Karishma.

She asked her not to cry. Within a few minutes, the fire was out and using Kriti's walking stick, Karishma walked back to a safer place as she had injured her leg.

Kamini hugged her tightly. Karishma consoled her mom.

''Thank God you're safe!" Kamini exclaimed.

"No mom, not God, thank didi! While all of you were panicking, it was didi who helped me. She used her brain. She didn't care about her life and came to help me. She can't see, but she did want you couldn't with eyes!"

"I'm sorry Kriti! I've been hating you all throughout these years because you aren't my own child. But today, you kept your life in danger just to save your sister, who is not even your blood relation! I'm sorry Kriti for all these years. I'm really sorry! You've always proved yourself a good daughter, but couldn't be your ideal mom!", Kamini apologized and hugged her!

"No mumma, don't say that!", Kriti replied.

"I told you na didi, the day will come when mom will love you the most!", Karishma happily said.

''Yes!", Kriti with a big smile replied.

That day, the Verma family witnessed a new bond. Karishma's dream of having a perfect family now came true! Kriti had finally after 12 years, got her mom!
