Sank in the Snow

I walked to the toy store, hoping to get a nice Christmas present for my nephew.

It started to snow, it was beautiful.

But all the beauty and delight in me shattered when I saw a child, she was staring at a toy in the toy store.

But she was dressed in a pretty white frock.

I walked up to the child and asked her where her parents are.

She told me that they had an accident, a few minutes ago and people took them to the hospital.

But she refused to come for two reasons.

One that she didn't want to hear bad news from the doctor, and on a Christmas day.

Two, she decided to stand near the toy shop and imagine that she had one toy.

I smiled and asked her to come to the toy shop.

She first refused, but then she came.

She had no idea why I asked her to come in.

When I bought the toys I gave one to her, tears of happiness sank down her cheeks.

So after all she didn't need to sleep on the snow.

She hugged me, even though I was a stranger to her.

I called her to a feast at my house and she came.

My nephew was delighted to see another child.

So were his parents.

After the feast, my nephew and the girl, she told her name was Nancy, become great friends.

One of my neighbors adopted her as her parents had passed away.

I still remember the day, I was very happy by helping the little girl.

Soon I moved to another city and never saw her again.

But I never forgot her. 

Those memories are still in my mind and will jump out every Christmas.
