Our poor rickshaw bhaiya! 

These sleek means of transport are pulled by equally frail and haggard men surviving on Sattu meals but the tenacity they have to labour, live and love this city is the story of endearing to endure. 

These humans leave their gai, gunj and kheti , a life of toil and misery to transform into beasts of burden on the streets of Calcutta. 

Their nerves of steel is a neurological wonder, something to ponder and believe that many a Calcuttan's small trips across the city had been successful, not because we had the means but for these bhaiyas, mostly from Bihar lent us their strong and firm legs!
