Promise

Anamika and Arushi were very close friends. From childhood,  they study in same school,  they were also neighbours  so they spend their whole day with each other, from school to Home work, from playing to dinner, their parents call them twin sisters as they love each other, care for each other like sisters.

As time pass on, they grew up and passed their 12 examination with very good marks.

Now there was a doubt that if they don't get admission in same college than what will happen? They promised each other to never break their friendship even if they do not get admission in the same college, they will stay together.

By god's blessing, they get admission in same college in Allahabad university.

Anamika and Arushi come to Allahabad with many dreams in their eyes.

 

It was first day of their college, they reach classroom and sit on front bench together, teacher came in class and started teaching, after all classes they went canteen together and took some snacks. they started talking about the class, teachers etc. this routine continue for a weak . It was Monday, , when they were in canteen some girls come and sit near them and start commenting on them as --

  " Ohho, what a friendship, hmesha ek sath hi rhna 

Kya baat h "

Arushi became angry and said, ohh hello what you want to say, why are you commenting on us 

Than one of those girls reply - 

Dekhte h, dekhte h 

Tumhari dosti 

Yha aake ache achon ki dosti ni chalti, ye school ni h, college h 

Jha koi partner mil gya vhi ye sath me rhna band ho jayega " 

After saying this, those girls leave the place with laughing on Arushi and Anamika.

 Anamika said to Arushi, calm down Arushi, these girls don't know real strength of friendship, we will show them that what is real friendship,

Arushi also said yes afcourse

 Promise me Annu ( Anamika) that whenever we will get our love , it will never come between our friendship.

Anamika also say - yes, and than both leave to their room.

Gradually time pass on, their friendship became strong day by day 

, They were friends to share each other problems and give right advise to each other, sister' to care for each other. 

After 2 month's, Arushi join a coaching class while Anamika don't felt need of that so she did not join.

 Here Arushi meet a guy named Ritesh, who was good looking and also good in studies, Arushi feel attraction for him and one day she talk to Ritesh and tell him about her feelings, she was surprised to know that Ritesh also feel for her. 

Thus Arushi come in a new phase of life bt she do not tell Annu about it, one day Arushi invite Ritesh to her room for dinner, where she introduced Ritesh to Annu, Annu also talk with him in good manner and treat him as friend.

After Ritesh leave Annu ask Arushi 

" Really, he is just your friend" 

Arushi says yes and try to change the topic.

Gradually it becomes a habit of Arushi to call Ritesh on room, and Annu understood everything that what was going on between Arushi and Ritesh bt she did not interfere and also allow Arushi to enjoy her life, often she go out with Ritesh. Things goes on this manner and because Arushi's mind was diverted to other place so she got very bad marks in her second semester exams.

Annu try to convince her that Arushi, it's okk that you like Ritesh company, want to spend time with him, and okk I'm not saying to stop this bt please also focus on your studies, it is our prime motive to come here.

Arushi also felt so bad for her performance in exams so she agree with Annu and started giving time to study also.

 One day Arushi ask Annu - 

"Hey Annu 

, I want to call Ritesh, he will stay with us 2-3 days, due to some problem in his room 

Annu think for some time and says 

" Sorry Arushi, i can't allowed this, it will be cheating with our parents, if you can ask to your parents and they agree than afcourse you can."

Listening this, Arushi become angry , she said - 

I hate you Annu, what you understood, who are you to interfere in my life, etc etc 

And she sleep, and in morning she don't say anything to Annu and leave for college.

Annu was also not in mood to talk her so she said nothing and she also reach college with some delay due to traffic, she was thinking that Arushi will now be in good mood and may be forgot the last night conversation, so she was happily going towards class but suddenly she saw Arushi talking to someone, but Annu can't see the person because of a wall, so she went close to Arushi. she find that Arushi was talking to Ritesh 

- "Ritesh, I want to stay with you, i don't want to stay with that Annu, she is so bad,  Pta ni kya smjhti khud ko,  padhti rhti h room me, mujhe usse dekh ke irritation hone lgti, mujhe ni rhna uske sath " 

After listening this, Annu leave the college and went in a garden.

It was Alfred park of Allahabad where Chandra Shekhar Azad killed himself but not come in captivity of Britishers.

Annu was feeling something very bad she can't explain to anyone,

She sat on ground in grass.

She was looking very calm from outside but there was a thunderstorm going on in her mind, words of Arushi were revolving in her mind.

Every moment of her friendship, from childhood were coming in her mind, all promises, all that love, care everything

She said to herself

" Am I so bad that she don't want to see my face,  she is irritating from me, ,

What is my mistake that I say no,

Her heart was broken, she feel so lonely but she can't share with any one as she don't want to reduce Arushi's respect in eyes of her parents, and others.

Now, she also don't want to stay with Arushi even for a minute.

She decided to leave Allahabad forever',

She came to room, packed all his luggage and leave the room.

In the evening, Arushi come back and found room was lock, she ask to owner of pg, than owner give her key of lock and a letter, he said, Annu had given me this letter to forward you,

Arushi open the room, and first of all open that letter,

" Dear Arushi,

Have you remember that day, some girls laughed on us, and the promise we give to each other that day . It is really unpredictable when a person will change, and i understood it today,

Those girls was right,

I felt sad only for one thing that time changed  things upto that level that Arushi who could not listen a single word against me, now she is disparaging me.
