Persistence

Persistence

"It is not the most talented who wins, but the one who persists, the one who falls & gets back up to fight another day."

Few things in the world are more powerful than a positive push. A smile. A world of optimism and hope. A 'I can do it' when things are tough and an attitude of:

"I will persist until I succeed.

I was not delivered into this world into defeat,

nor does failure course my veins.

I am not a sheep waiting to be prodded by my shepherd, I am a lion &

I refuse to talk, walk & sleep with the sheep.

I will persist until I succeed."

There is probably no better example of persistence than the story of Abraham Lincoln.

He failed in business at 21, lost a legislative race at age 22, failed in business again at 24 and lost a congressional race when he was 34. At 45 he lost a senato

rial race. And he failed in an attempt to become Vice President when he was 47.

But he was finally elected President of the United States at age 52.

Lincoln never quit.

He could have given up after several attempts but pursued his ambition to assume the highest office in America.

There is no substitute for persistence. As long as you are still actively trying after every failure, you have not failed yet.

Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.

Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place.

If you quit, however, it will last forever.

Persist & stay blessed forever.
