Patriotism: The Conclusion

(Continuation of Patriotism: The Beginning)

After eliminating the terrorists in Coimbatore in a long and challenging mission, Akhil and Sai Adhithya meet DGP Anuvishnu, who transferred the duo to Bangalore, telling them that, they have to investigate an important case that is serious and heated in the city among the minds of people, to which they agree.

With Sai Adhithya's family, Nisha, and himself, Akhil shifts to Bangalore. Since Ishika is pregnant Akhil requests Sai Adhithya to be careful and cautious while performing the IPS duties. In further, he tells, "Before few months, we doesn't have any family. But, now we are a part of the family. Hence, we must be very cautious and alert" to which, Sai Adhithya agrees.

Now, Sai Adhithya and Akhil goes to meet DIG Ramakrishna.

"Come Mr. Sai Adhithya and Akhil. Take your seats" said Ramakrishna.

"Sir. I am ASP Akhil and he is ASP Sai Adhithya IPS from the Crime Branch of Coimbatore district. We have been transferred by DGP Anuvishnu to Bangalore for some reason. May we know the reasons behind the transfer sir?" asked Akhil, while Sai Adhithya too expressed the same questions.

Ramakrishna replies, "Akhil and Sai Adhithya. I have learned about your duo's patriotic nature as well as your missions in the Coimbatore district before few days. This time, you duo have to perform an important investigation regarding the rape case of a second-year college student named Oviya"

"Sir. I have heard regarding the case before few days. But, as per my interrogation with few police officers, she had been told to be raped by her own boyfriend Pramod. Why should we investigate this closed case sir?" asked Akhil.

"Because Pramoth is not the real murderer" which leaves the duo shocked and the DIG continues to say, "Before few days, I went to interrogate him in the custody when Inspector Vishnu(who interrogated him and also handled the case) asked me to come for the police station. He claimed his innocence and in further, told me that the police officials are beating him up severely to accept that, he has murdered the girl in order to close the case. I didn't show anything to the Inspector regarding the truth and instead, planned to perform a secret investigation behind the girl's death. Henceforth, I planned to transfer you duo, after being impressed with your sincere efforts in eliminating the terrorists(from Coimbatore)" said the DIG.

"Sir. What should we do now?" asked Sai Adhithya.

"You have to perform a secret investigation regarding Oviya and also the mystery behind her rape," said DIG Ramakrishna, to which the duo agrees.

While walking, Akhil asks Sai Adhithya, "Sai Aditya. Give some ideas. From where shall we start? With Oviya or the Inspector?"

"Akhil. Shall we start our investigation from the Inspector?" asked Sai Adhithya.

"Why should we do like such? Will that be useful for us?" asked Akhil.

"Why not, da? When we investigate him, we may get some clue behind the rape case of Oviya. It will also be easier for our investigation, right" said Sai Adhithya.

"Yes, da. You are right. Let's meet him" said Akhil.

After having tea, Akhil and Sai Adhithya go to meet Inspector Vishnu who salutes them and asks the duo to take their seats.

"How can I help you sir?" asked Inspector Vishnu.

"Mr. Vishnu. Can you help us by explaining the rape case of Oviya?" asked Sai Adhithya while Akhil closely observed him.

"Sure sir. What do you want from that case sir?" asked Inspector Vishnu.

"May I know the details of Oviya and her family? Besides her background, I also wanted her boyfriend Pramoth's(Oviya's boyfriend, who raped her) family background. In addition to this, we wish to interrogate him" said Akhil, to which Inspector Vishnu agrees.

He shows the case details to Akhil and Sai Adhithya, explaining to them about Oviya's character as a good and genuine girl but, is a drug addict and in further, she had been raped by Pramoth, whom his friends claim to be the innocent and silent guy, who never behaves harshly or rudely with anyone. But, for few days, he had been so rude to all and henceforth, has arrested him in suspicion and after that, has taken him under custody, once learning him to be the murderer of Oviya.

However, when Akhil hears about the word drug addict, he asks Vishnu to come again. On hearing this, Sai Adhithya suspects the foul play behind Oviya's murder and decides to perform a parallel investigation behind her murder.

"Sai Adhithya. What you told was right, da! This Inspector has framed Pramoth in the murder in order to save a bigwig in the city. We have to speed up our investigation. Let's meet Oviya's family" said Akhil and the duo proceed to meet them.

Oviya's father Lingam Reddy asks them to come inside the house after which, the duo asks about the rape case of Oviya. Initially, he refuses to say the truth. But, left with no way and out of guilt, he tells them that, "His daughter is not a drug addict indeed. She has been good and genuine to all. In further, Pramoth too will not go to an extent of murdering. The duo had a misunderstanding a few days back. In addition, Oviya will not perform such kinds of activities."

And after the confession, he starts to cry. In further, he asks the duo to catch the real culprits as soon as possible since, he cannot afford to tolerate an innocent guy, receiving punishment for the mistakes, which he didn't commit. Akhil promises to catch the real culprits and they decide to proceed through the case.

While walking in the roads, Sai Adhithya says to Akhil, "Hey Akhil. Carolina too, had faced the same situation like Oviya. Do you remember? The only difference is that she had been killed while Oviya had been raped" which makes him heartbroken and he sits as such.

"We should furthermore, speed up our investigation Adhithya," said Akhil to which, he agrees and they meet Oviya's friends in the residential hostel (where she stayed and studied). Upon interrogating her friends, they give them good reports about Oviya as well as Pramod. However, they are unknown about the mystery behind Oviya's murder and in further, they strongly tells to Sai Adhithya that, "He is innocent."

Later on, Akhil and Sai Adhithya meet Pramoth's friends in the same residential hostel, where they interrogate them all and learn he is innocent but, tells him that, they didn't expect the brutality of Pramoth at that time.

After this, they come out and Sai Adhithya said to Akhil, "Hey. What is this da? This case is prolonging this much. Day by day, it goes complicated. No one is there for giving clues regarding the investigation"

"Sir. I wanted to speak with you duo alone, regarding Pramoth. Can you please come with me?" asked an unknown guy, to which the duo agrees and goes with him, who takes them to Bangalore beach.

"Who are you, da?" asked Sai Adhithya

"Sir. I am Mukundan. Pramoth's close friend since, the beginning of the college days. As everyone told, he is innocent and never knew to behave harshly with anyone. In further, he is almost equal to Oviya, sir. But, many tells that, he had raped her lover brutally. Will any true lover rape his own lover, brutally sir?" asked Mukundan, while Sai Adhithya looked him in pity.

"Ok. You are telling me that he is innocent. But, how? Then who could have raped Oviya?" asked Akhil.

"Sir. If you want to know the answer to this question, let me tell you one more thing in our college" said Mukundan, to which the duo agrees.

"When I, Oviya, and Pramoth were in the mid-first years, we met four rich students namely Arivu, Karthick, Jai, and Jagadeep. All these four guys are severe drug addicts and are prone to do physical abuse against the students, sir. In furthermore, they were a bigwig in society, and henceforth, we remained silent not even uttering a word. At that time, Jai had an eye in the beauty of Oviya and overwhelmed with the feeling of lust, he expresses this to the trio, who too wanted to attain her at any cost. It was at this time, Pramoth and Oviya fell in love. Some days later, Jai tried to mess with Oviya. But, the latter beat him with her slippers and humiliated him in front of everyone. After that, Pramoth and Oviya had a small misunderstanding and the duo parted ways. I didn't know what happened in further pertaining to busy works and it was of late, I learned Pramoth has been framed and I was unable to do anything to prove Pramoth's innocence" said Mukundan.

"Mukundan. What is your opinion? Are you suspecting those four guys to be the mastermind behind Oviya's brutal rape?" asked Akhil to which Mukundan replies saying, "I definitely suspect them in Oviya's rape sir. Because, they are drug addicts and in further, Jai had been humiliated by Oviya. In addition, he had been telling that they should have to do something brutal for Oviya, as a retribution for the humiliation, when they were in the class before two days of Oviya's death."

"Can you please show us the house of those four guys?" asked Sai Adhithya.

"Definitely sir. I will show you their house" said Mukundan after which, he takes them to the outskirts of Bangalore-Hosur Highway where he shows them a secluded Bungalow, telling them that, those four men are living in the bungalow.

Akhil and Sai Adhithya enters the bungalow. Upon noticing the duo, the guys become alert and try to attack them. But, Sai Adhithya overpowers them with Akhil's help and ties them up in the chair.

"Hey. We are police officers da. Are you all trying to outsmart us?" asked Akhil.

"Are you duo police officers? I am sorry sir. We thought of you as a thief and henceforth, we tried to attack you" said Jai.

"That's fine, Jai. We have come to your house in order to interrogate you about Oviya's murder. If you co-operate with our investigation, we will leave you all as such. Or else, anything might happen in this place" said Sai Adhithya, to which all four of them agrees.

Akhil plans to interrogate four of them individually instead of investigating them together, after having a discussion with Sai Adhithya. As per the plan, they handcuff the four after removing them and starts to interrogate them individually. All four of them gave different answers, which is being video tapped by Sai Adhithya secretly, through his mobile phone.

Again after the interrogation, Sai Adhithya and Akhil tie-up Jai and the other three guys in the chair and asks them to tell the truth, after showing the video of their confession, where all these guys have given different answers with different stories, having been cooked up by those.

However, none agrees to tell the truth after which, Akhil says, "Adhithya. This treatment will not work out. Henceforth, let's follow another method. I am going to inject dangerous morphine into the arms of these guys and in the process, it will slowly kill them to death"

"Take that injection from their corridor Akhil. Let's inject them" said Sai Adhithya.

Feared, Jai says, "Sir. No sir. Don't do like such. We will confess the truth. I will tell what happened the previous day before Oviya's death."

"Good," said Akhil, and Jai tells, "On that day, I, Arivu, Karthick, and Jagadeep consumed few amounts of drugs and I dialed Oviya telling her to come to a place, for which she refused. Henceforth, I pretended to ask apology for my mistakes and made her come to the place, that I told to her. After she came, I injected cocaine into her hands and after she loses consciousness, we raped her brutally and after that, killed her instantly. In order to escape from the punishments, we used our father's influence and framed Pramoth for the murder with the help of Inspector Vishnu" said Jai.

After telling, Arivu tells Akhil, "ASP Akhil sir. It's not that much easier to send us to Prison. Since, we will use our influence and come out from prison, sooner. What will you all do at that time? We will further continue to rape women for our satisfaction."

"Sai Adhithya. What happened da? Have you sent the video confession to DIG sir?" asked Akhil, which shocked all four of them.

"Hey. We both are patriots. Not fools. Henceforth, be ready to serve your prison punishments" said Sai Adhithya.

After this, Jai's father, a politician calls Akhil to whom, he tries to bribe with lakhs of money, but he refuses while the other guy's parents leave the problem as such. Since, they cannot do anything against the law, here afterward.

However, Akhil is not willing to get these guys a prison punishment and instead wanted these guys to be encountered brutally, because they aren't deserved to live a life, after raping women. And in further, Sai Adhithya too tells the same telling, "Even Ishika and Carolina will not forgive us if we didn't kill these brutal guys. Let's finish them Akhil"

While going in the police van, Akhil diverts the van to Bangalore's reserved forests after which, he removes the handcuff of the four guys and makes them escape in the forest. While they are running, Sai Adhithya proceeds to shoot all four of them in their head, thus killing them instantly, after which a group of tigers, which had been wailing in hunger comes and eats those men in order to satisfy their hunger.

After this, the leaves from the forest, and when being asked for the reason to encounter those guys, Sai Adhithya tells that, "The guys tried to escape from their custody and henceforth, has killed them with no ways left."

Pramoth is released from prison after being proved innocent. He further seeks blessings from the DIG, Sai Adhithya and Akhil for helping him a lot and leaves from the place while, Inspector Vishnu Prasad apologizes to the trio for framing up Pramoth and promises to them that, he will be honest hereafter and will not support any criminals, for which Akhil appreciates him.

Having been accomplished their mission successfully, Akhil meets the DIG with Sai Adhithya where, they submit the final report about Oviya's rape case and salutes DIG, who too salutes him in return.

"Sir. Why are you saluting us? You are our senior-most police officer" said Sai Adhithya.

"This salute is to honor you both guys. Because you have set inspiration and example for the upcoming younger generations. I have never seen any guys, who are patriotic" said DIG Ramakrishna after which, the duo thanks him and leaves from the place.

Having fulfilled the mission, Akhil and Sai Adhithya goes to meet Ishika and Nisha, where Nisha has good news for Akhil, but it's kept a secret by all. Unable to bear the suspense, he forces Nisha to tell after which, she confesses her pregnancy and everyone feels happier…while, Sai Adhithya tells Akhil, "Hey Akhil…Your son too might become patriotic similar to you" for which all laughs…
