Nothing is achieved through quitting 

You need an attitude of never quitting even if the circumstances of life get you down.

You've been dreaming, you've been hoping, you've been believing, but you are sabotaging yourself if you don't take the word quit out of your vocabulary.

No matter what storms come up against you, how many times you've failed, fell down, or want to give up. You can not quit.

I know that this message is for me because I was down, I was ready to give up, and I was losing my mustard seed size faith I had.

It had been too long. I tried, but I was going nowhere. I was even ready to stop writing, my passion, and my purpose, I thought why? Where is this going? Is anyone listening? I'm tired; I was losing my faith. 

But something happened; God put something in spirit, a tiny bit of hope to make me come back to church. He knew that I needed to hear a word. He knew that whenever I needed a word or a confirmation, I come to church, and I get it. During the pandemic it was great to at least have church online, but it was not the same.

So, during this fast, we do the first week of every year. I have only been listening to or watching Christian things, and of course, there have been many signs. 

While watching Tyler Perry on Joel Osteen, he mentioned my favorite bible verses, then I come to church, and there is a word that touches my heart. A sermon that is for me because he knows that I need more than one sign, yes, I'm hard headed.

This sermon was about Jacob and how wrestled the angel, and even when the angel broke his hip, he held on, and he said I will not let go until you bless me! He was determined to get his blessing. No matter what, he had the faith to hold on; he was not giving up.

If you want some big stuff from God this year, you need to fight for it.

You can't quit; you can't give up; you must fight for your blessings. 

So today, my friends, this message is as much for me as it is for you. Nothing is achieved by quitting; you will never know what is in store for you if you quit. When life gets hard, we must hold on. 

I will leave you with this. On the way home, while I was finishing watching that interview, Tyler Perry told Joel Osteen about how he had put everything into his plays. But he had 7 failed ones, he lost all his money, he was broken and wanted to give up, but God told him to hold on and he listened, and the 8th play was his winner. He was losing hope, even though he knew that God had something for him, but after so many failures, it was hard to keep the faith. And look at him today! This story gave me the hope that I needed that third sign.

See, he knows me. 

So don't quit; your breakthrough may not be instant, but it is certain.
