Mystery Cave

Once upon a time, there was a person named Felix. He was on the way to his friend’s village and was returning back to his city. There was another stranger, Jack, our Hero of the story, who was traveling along with him. With a casual conversation, he asked Jack where he was going. He told him he was going to his friend’s place and back to the city. He asked him why he was going to his friends’ place and Jack told him that there was such a deep cave that anyone who went for a specific distance never ever came back.

Hearing this Jack was shocked and was also very eager to visit the cave himself. He asked if he could join Felix to the cave, for which Felix agreed. Felix gave a rope, match stick to Jack since Jack agreed to go down the mystery cave.

Felix tied a rope around Jack’s waist and lowered him each step. The strange thing about all missing people was that nobody responded beyond 10 steps… But Felix did not tell this to Jack and kept it as a secret.

Felix held the rope tightly and told that Jack should tug the rope for every step to indicate that he has reached the next step safely. Slowly it began to rain and the weather suddenly turned very cold. There were dogs howling at a distance. Jack reached the 1^st step and tugged the rope and continued to the next step. There was a lot of fear in Jack and Felix but they continued to do this investigation on the mystery cave.

Will, there be a Lion or will there be a wolf inside the cave that is eating people, which is why nobody is coming back! thought Jack but continued going every step carefully.

At step 6 Jack could not see anything and screeeeech !!! there were some 1000 bats that were flying above his head. Jack was shocked but managed not to fall off. He then signaled with his rope to Felix that he is safe.

At step 8, he lit up his match stick but they no longer stayed and immediately went off. Jack panicked but continued another step screeeeeeech! this time he heard echoes from the cave of wolves howling. Jack was shivering and sweating but moved to the 9^th step and immediately signaled with his rope to Felix

Felix was also afraid since he did not tell the truth about the 10 steps to Jack but was holding the rope tightly. But this time the rain became heavier and the wind was blowing hard on them that they could hear sounds of it in the cave. Jack went on to the 10^th step…. and screeeeeech….
