Mohandas's crime

Once there was a landlord named Ram Singh, lived in a village. He was very hardworking and honest. He always helps needy people.

One day he was going to town. He came across a poor boy. He asked Ram Singh for some work do for him. Ram Singh asked his name. He told that his name was ' Mohandas '. He wanted to do somework to earn money. He was very hungry.Ram Singh asked him to work in his Fields. Mohandas agreed with him.

Ram Singh brought Mohandas to his home. He had a wife and two children a son, Rinku and a daughter, Neha. They were very intelligent and school-going.On seeing Mohandas they felt very happy, his wife also. Because she wanted a helper for her husband.She treated Mohandas as his son. She gave him good food and new clothes to wear in return of his work.

But Mohandas always thought to steal something whenever he got the chance.

one day the landlord brought some money after selling his crops and gave it to his wife and said, " Sushila, put these rupees in the cupboard, tomorrow I will deposit it in the bank." She put the money in the cupboard. Mohandas heard their conversation. He was waiting for a chance to steal the money. When Sushila went outside the house. Mohandas went to the room and took all the money.

Mohandas put the money in the bag and hid it in his clothes so that nobody can see it. While doing this landlord's daughter came in and saw him stealing money. He hit the girl on her head and run away with money from the house.

After sometime Sushila came and saw his daughter unconscious in the room. She started crying and shouting.Ram Singh came soon and brought Neha to the hospital. After some time Neha came to sense and told them everything.

Ram Singh looked for Mohandas here and there and wandered the whole village but he did not get a trace of Mohandas then he went to the police station to complain about Mohandas. He told the whole matter to the police. Police started searching for Mohandas.

After stealing money Mohandas thought of going to his home Patna by train. He went to the Railway station and sit on the platform waiting for the train. Now he thought of his family and started his business with this money in the town and never came back here again. He hides on the station and wear a false beard so that nobody can recognize him.

After some time police came to the station recognize him by his clothes and arrest him and took him to the police station. Then Ram Singh came and asked why he stole the money. He told him everything. Ram Singh forgave him and gave him some money for his family, To go to Patna.

On this Mohandas felt ashamed and touched Ram Singh's feet for it and feel sorry otherwise police put him in jail. Then who will take care of his family? So he was very thankful to Ram Singh. Then he went to his home and promised him to come back after some time.
