Miracles - My Life’s Journey - Introduction

Hello, my name is Peter Alexander Lawryniuk, and this is a true story about my life, growing up with a brain injury from the age of 7 years old. 

I don’t remember much before my accident. I remember what people tell me.
 However, after my accident, I remember things, as well as my near-death experience. 
It was April 29, 1985. I was 7 years old and grade 2. I was riding my bicycle with my friend to the store.  On the way to the store, there was a stop sign. My friend stopped at the stop sign but I didn’t stop. I was riding my bicycle too fast and I passed the stop sign. A car was also driving fast and failed to stop at the stop sign. The car hit me and I flew off my bike and landed on the road unconscious. I was rushed in an ambulance to Mc. Masters hospital in Hamilton, where I lay in a coma for 11 days. As I lay in the coma, I remember my near-death experience. I was walking through a pitch black dark tunnel, towards a bright yellow light. I heard a deep voice in the light. It said, “Peter, come here”. As I was walking towards the light, I heard my parents voices. They said, “Peter, come here”. As they were saying this, they were reaching out their arms to me. I turned around, saw them and ran back to them. I opened up my eyes. I lived. I survived the accident. I was given a second chance at life.
