Love, a feeling not easy to be voiced in words, and impossible to pen down also. While we all grow up listening to best love stories around the whole world, our faith in love empowers more. Some propagates hand in hand, while others end hand in hand.

This is my love story, different from previously known ones. Myself Meera, fall in love with my college friend Arbaas. Four years engineering appeared simple to us as we had love to surmount over the rest. We relocated to different states and dedicated ourselves on career but love bonded us together always. A simple I love you, would brighten our gloomy mood. 3 years of long distance never let the love fall dumpy among us. Finally we both landed in Mumbai. Together again.

Then we decided to get married, but who knew that our modern families would differ over our caste. We tried clarifying the best. But nothing jerked. Our love was commanded to be RIP due to the religion, tradition, culture difference. India being democratic country but such issues is far apart from the meaning of democracy and freedom.

But love is eternal as it does not believe in all this. We were together, and our families were far apart. The challenge was to bring all in one frame.

We only believed in our love, and the power of love is undefeatable.

Questions were thousands like what will be my religion, my caste, which religion we would marry by and even what our kids be like ? Which festival will be valued more? Will he understand us, or will I ever win over his family. We both would try our best in countering but none of the time our love would win over the differences.

At last we decided to go for court marriage, at least the questions like tradition, culture, and custom were over ruled. We took our marriage as a challenge, to prove the influence of love.

It’s been a decade now to our bond. And we are the happiest ones. If you ever visit our home it has vibes of love. He cooks the most delicious Sheer on Eid with his ammi's recipe and I cook the best kheer on diwali. We fast for Navratas and keep Ramzaans also. When our wish comes real, we visit Shiddhivanayk and Hazi Ali both. God never discriminated us over our religion, as he follows the path of Love.

Today we are four, my son named Shlok and daughter Aayat. They both are great humans. They have faith in both religions. They respect both families and understand the value of both religions but are never biased about one. We all speak one language that is of love. Seeing them nurture this way, finally we sense, love is beyond all.

Now both the families are together, after seeing how easily we handled all the differences among our upbringing, as we love each other and rest everything falls secondary. So we all are together now, celebrating every moment together. Our Love has changed the understanding of two generations; I think its a hats off performance by us. Where love subsists, hatred aloof itself.

So challenge accomplished. No matter we cook kheer or sheer, its same always as it has taste of love in it.So I call it a love affair of a Kheer and Sheer, as their names may differ but ingredients are same.

Long live the true love.
