Loneliness - A Gift Of God
Loneliness - A Gift Of God
Loneliness is God's gift. The time when one is alone, speaks with one's inner self. One can search thy self and go feel inside. Explore the person within.
Pritam and Priya were school friends. They were Studying in class five. They were also neighbours. They used to go to school together, played together and studied together. Pritam's mother was a teacher. She helped both the children in their studies. She also taught them ART and music. Every Sunday she used to take them to historical places, museums, animal park, etc and explained their value and importance. After the visit, she made sure that both the children document their field trip and show her what information they gathered through this visit. She then used to make a file and keep the writings safely so that the best one can be given for the school magazine. Both the children were accustomed with this routine. They too enjoyed the field trip. Pritam was good in writing and could express his feelings well. But Priya had to struggle with her writing. She continuously asked for help from Pritam's mother. She always helped her. During outing, they used to take a note book, a sketch book, pending, pencil and colours. They used to do sketches and drawings of the site visited. These trips and the work associated with it helped the children to learn by doing and increased their knowledge about their culture, society and the environment. Sometimes Priya's mother also accompanied them. Priya loved Aunty very much. Any difficulty or problem was easily solved by her.
When they were in class six during the month of November Pritam's mother fainted at school. The principal informed her family members and took her to the Hospital. Hearing these the children and their parents visited the Hospital. Pritam's mother watching Priya very sad asked her to write about the Hospital visit today and show her the writing Tomorrow. Priya could not stop crying. She hugged her and asked her to recover soon. Pritam's mother too said "Nothing to worry. I will be home within two days." Priya's mother took both the children home and arranged for their evening meal. For a week Pritam was staying with Priya. His father was busy to take care of his mother in the Hospital. Another week passed but Aunty did not return home. Everyone was worried but the doctor could not diagnose the disease. After three weeks in the Hospital, one Saturday morning Pritam's father found that his wife is not responding. He rushed to call the doctor.
They came and declared her dead. Having heard of Aunties' death, Priyas life became stagnant. She stopped taking food and cried the whole day. Pritam also tried to console her but she missed aunty badly. She lost her best friend. She stopped talking. She used to draw Aunties sketch and keep quiet in her room. She even stopped going to school for a week. Her mother could not explain that God needed good people so He took aunty there. She stopped playing and talking to Pritam also. Pritam too was feeling lonely. Pritam used to state at his mother's photo and asked her help to bring out Priya from this situation.
Then finally one day he got the answer and got the idea to write a letter to Priya in his mother's name. The letter worked wonder. It was written" My dear Priya I too miss you my child. But I have work here. Why have you stopped living? You stopped eating, playing, talking and even going to school. Did I teach you all these in so many years. Life and death are two sides of a coin. It happens in everyone's life. I can not come to you but I promise to write a letter every month. I want to see my active enthusiastic little girl jumping, running, talking and Studying. Pritam is also feeling kindly without me and you too stopped talking. Please be a good girl and start going to school." Receiving the letter Priya got some strength to be normal. Her mother and Pritam stood by her side. From this Sunday Priya's mother decided to take the children out for field visit. Children were happy but badly missed Pritam's mother company.
Time heals everything. After then years Priya became a doctor and Pritam a chemical engineer. Priya dedicatedly served her patients and every Sunday She, Pritam and their family members visited the nearby villages and have free treatment to the villagers. Pritam too gives free MEDICINE to the door and the needy. Priya became doctor to see that no one dies without treatment. Every morning Priya used to see aunties photo, take her blessings and eagerly wait for her letter. Every month Pritam used to write a letter in her mother's name and kept near her photo. These letters inspired Priya to work hard. Pritam too walked in his mother's footstep and encouraged Priya all the time. Pritam tried many times to tell the truth about the letter but was afraid to lose a sweet friend like Priya. Pritam talked to himself and with his mother's photo. He felt lonely but was happy to help Pritam live a normal life without her beloved Aunty.
