The day I was born was a proud moment later in my life. Why? Because the day was Fifteen August, Independence Day of India. 15th August 1947 my country India got Independence and after Twenty years in the year 1977, 15th August I was born. I really feel lucky and gifted for the date I was born. I was born in a free India due to our great freedom fighters' effort and sacrifice. Every year on this day everyone wishes me but I wish my motherland Happy Independence Day. To be free is a great feeling. Bondage is suffocating. I feel happy to be born as an Indian., The holy land of the Ganges and the mighty Brahmaputra. The rich culture and heritage of our sages always attracted me. Our rishis and Munnis tirelessly were able to get the blessings of the Almighty. The Himalayas and Vindya ranges inspire me to hold my head high. The Kashmir valleys beings serenity in my heart.

The Mata Vaishno Devi shrine and Maa Kamakhya temple bring mysticism in my heart. The freedom fighters from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose to Lachit Borphukan arouse the love for my motherland and provides courage to chase the infiltrators away from my homeland. India the land of Lord Rama, the Mathura ---birthplace of Lord Sri KRISHNA and Bengal-- the birthplace of Sri Ramakrishna and Maa Sharada gives me the confidence of a pious birth in this holy land. India the land of great scientist Abdul Kalam and literary genius Mamoni Raisom Goswami makes me privileged to be born in this era. I am really blessed to be in this land of Kabir and Meerabai. I am a proud Indian to be born in Northeastern state of India that is Assam which is famous for its natural beauty, fantastic food, rich culture, and lovely people.
