Lockdown And Me

The year 2020 was trying to change our lives to a complete 360 degrees angle with a pandemic called the "Coronavirus," "Covid 19" or "SARS CoV 2". It is a huge battle that we are fighting from our homes by maintaining social distance and being cautious about our personal hygiene. While battling the virus by locking ourselves with the "lockdown", we were given the opportunity to unlock the talent within us. 

This lockdown has given me an insight into how capable I am. The first few days of the lockdown ran with the pressure of re-examinations of the pending exams for grade 12 across India. Once, the news of rescheduling of the pending exams gave me a sort of bittersweet relief. Later, the news of the same set of exams getting cancelled due to a steep increase in the number cases gave me slight relief.

With the relief and content of happiness in my heart, I started to do some creative, artistic handicrafts. The moment I completed them it gave me huge satisfaction. I resumed my vocal music training. Meanwhile, I got my board results and joined the college which I aspired for. In addition to these, I participated and won in various online contests and still I am. Along with the regular preparation of my college subjects, I also started to certify myself with certification courses in the subjects which I am keen on. 

With all these mind engaging activities I stared to bake cakes, prepare delicacies and most importantly "that perfect round roti". The first few attempts in cooking was a complete hilarious disaster. Maybe now I can claim myself to be good cook from a decent cum ordinary cook. 

This experience was completely mind-blowing and has indeed transformed me to a complete a new person who can now claim herself to be the "Jack of all trades".
