Karuna Varus (Corona Virus)

Dancing... Performing... with the string tied swaying bodies... lovely appearances... colourful attires and robes... lovely appearances... colourful attires and robes... Rani and Raja... the puppet dolls or kathputlis... entertained the patrons in Khel tamashas...Telling the folk tales... musically... singing and dancing merrily ...were these fabric dolls...

But one day Rani and Raja...the cloth puppet dolls were in the mood to not listen to their burser master who made them dance on his tunes... Rani and Raja had decided to create their own act play on a contemplatingly blazing issue Karuna Varus (Corona Virus)... and amuse the audience...

The curtains raised... Gangu...the player of the puppet dolls...held the strings controlled by his fingers... The show started... But to Gangu's surprise... the strings he had control over snapped in a jiffy... but Rani and Raja were shaking and moving their bodies... Although... there were no songs... Yet Rani and Raja conveyed and demonstrated... dance and actions... to which the audience was spellbound...

Raja... wore a mask on his face... So did his muse... Rani.... both the puppet dolls danced some feet away from each other... displaying social distancing... Rani pretended to wash her hands... followed by Raja... Next, Raja expressed his desire through actions... to go out of the house... which Rani resisted him to do... by nodding her head in a negative manner...

Gangu... in a shock and confusion was watching...the spectacular spectacle... Later when Gangu seemed to have understood the purpose of his kathputlis... he being helpful, Gangu concluded... with a folk song...

"Dur se he ram ram...

Ghar se he karo apna apna kaam...

Haath dhoye kare... Karuna Varus(Corona Virus)...ka kaam tamaam...

Nakaab Muh per pehno...Laparwaahi ka naa lena...khud ke ser per ilzaam..."

As the curtains were gradually veiling down... it witnessed... loud sounds of whistling... clapping... and chucking notes and coins... by the people in great delight... The entire village present at the show was singing praises of the puppeteer Gangu and his puppets Raja Rani... for spreading awareness about Karuna Varus (Coronavirus). With Raja Rani tightly clung...by an emotional Gangu...
