Chapter 16

"Ma I am going to meet Dev" Shivani told her mom.

"Why at this hour..you not going to college" she asked.

"I need to meet him, he has been hurt by Anish" she told.

"Oh why so" she asked.

"He came to know finally that Anish is after him. I need to be by his side. I know that I used him for my personal gain but he loves me and atleast I need to respect that mom" saying so she left.

She rang the bell of Dev's house.

His mom opened the door.

"Aunty I am Dev's friend" she told.

"Oh so you are Shivani" his mom asked with a smile.

She was surprised that how she knew it.

"Dev always talks about you. Infact he had told me only that he was sure that you would come" she told.

As Shivani entered his room, he saw that it was decorated with posters of all football stars.

He had always been fan of football and represented the college as well.

He was reading a book and as soon as he saw her he exclaimed.

"Betu...so nice to see you" with a smile.

She did feel sorry for him that he was hurt on her head.

She caressed his bandaged head.

"First it was me and now you" she told sadly.

"Don't worry betu...all shall be fine" he told firmly.

"I think that Anish is behind my thing also" she told so that he gets angry.

"What makes you say so" he asked.

"Coz of the reason you told me. He loves you and sees me as a threat you see" she explained.

Dev did start thinking for a while. His mind told that it could happen but his heart was not ready to accept this that Anish could stoop so low.

"I don't think that he would stoop so low" he told.

Shivani was angry listening to this.

"He has the blood of that Raichand" she shouted angrily.

He was aghast listening her shouting so loudly.

"What is wrong betu" he asked hugging her.

Shivani cursed herself for losing her self control.

"Nothing...I mean ..." she faltered with words,

"What do you mean by he has blood of Raichand" he asked looking into her eyes.

Shivani couldn't look into his eyes.

Dev felt that something was amiss. 

His mind was asking "Is she hiding something"

Meanwhile, his mom came and told him that his friends Vikram, Natasha and Tina had come to meet him.

They were not surprised to see Shivani already there.

"What happened Dev" asked Nutty going to him and looking at him sadly.

Vikram did not like it but he was helpless.

"Dev how did it all happen" asked Nutty while Vikram looked on.

They all were speechless when they got to know the true colors of Anish.

"That stupid fool" screamed Nutty.

"I won't leave him" she shouted.

"Relax Nutty" requested Vikram.

"Relax..what relax" she shouted back at Vikram.

"Nutty control your emotions" told Tina hugging her.

"We all know that whatever Anish did is wrong. Why don't we complain his parents" asked Shivani.

They all liked the idea of Shivani and agreed to meet his dad Mr. raichand.

Raichand it is pay back time. Now you see what the Vermas are capable of.

"Malhotra your turn shall come soon" she thought to herself looking at Nutty who was finding solace in Vikram's arms.
