Akhilesh and Diksha were staying away from their family at Canada. Akhilesh is a banker and Diksha is a software engineer. This year they celebrated their 10th anniversary at Sydney. It was a 15 days long vacation trip. They both were very happy. Both loved travelling, photography and site seeing. Every weekend, they used to go out for a long drive, stay at countryside, enjoy the nature, make romantic memories and rejuvenate themselves before they start their next hectic week. Everything was perfect for them except the frequent phone calls from their relatives from Punjab. Diksha was so fed up of those taunting remarks and sometimes she ended up crying after the end of those phone calls. Akhilesh knew that Diksha got disturbed by such phone calls but he couldn't stop the blabbering mouths. He would just hug Diksha tightly ( He called it "Jadoo ki Jhappi"), wipe her tears and make her lie on his lap like a kid and keep on consoling till she is back to the confident and chirpy girl he loved.

It was a tiring Monday and after office both Akhilesh and Diksha were coming back to home when Akhilesh said, " You know, today Jalandhar wali Massi called..Our Chinky is getting married next month...she has invited both of us for the wedding... It is a destination wedding...All my cousins are..." Akhilesh stopped abruptly as he could make out that Diksha was not enjoying this conversation. He was so engrossed in explaining the marriage details that he missed out seeing the changing hues on the face of Diksha. He stopped the car near a restaurant and asked Diksha to come out for a coffee .. It was a cold evening, he helped his better-half with the jacket and held her waist and escorted for a hot coffee. They were staring at each other like newly married couple till the coffee arrived. Akhilesh took a sip and held Diksha's hand ... I know dear, you don't like meeting our relatives and listening to their insulting comments.. But I assure you that this time we will carry home a beautiful answer to all their nagging questions. All the formalities are complete and I assure you, I will not allow a single drop of tear to roll from your eyes. They left the coffee shop with a smile on their face. Before getting into the car, Akhilesh gave Diksha a tight hug and said " I love you". Diksha murmured..."Love you too."( "Jadoo ki Jhappi")

Diksha knew that the D-day is coming near ...and she was so thrilled, since the day they had made that most important decision of their life.

Mehandi day

Small girls were running here and there with cute Mehandi art in their hands... Ladies were sitting together, laughing , passing comments and waiting for their turn for Mehandi decoration. Rajjo Chachi asked suddenly, "You know Akki and his wife are also coming for wedding... Pata hai, I had even told Jassi bhabhi this time to look out a new bahu for Akki... This Diksha will never..."

"Excuse me Chachi ji.... Your Jassi bhabhi and Akki are very happy with their present bahu Diksha... And I have answer to your incomplete sentence that Diksha is ..." Akhilesh pointed towards Diksha holding a tiny angel in her arms and everyone was blessing Diksha. Akhilesh's mother couldn't stop kissing Diksha and those cute hands. A small tear rolled from Diksha's eyes... But today it was Khushi ke Aasoo...and this time she had a tight hug ( "Jadoo ki Jhappi" ) of her mother in law.

Flashback of D day
