It wasn't just a Kiss

The party was going on. Everything was fine. Adolescence was showing its pure form. Boys were grooving to the beat and girls were chatting beside the room, bitching about each and everyone, whom they find pretty annoying.

I was wandering from here to there to see whether the party doesn't lack something. Everything was great except one thing. That girl. That girl was simply lying on the sofa without talking to anyone. She was far away from her community where she belongs. She should be with them murmuring and commenting on others but no. She was bit moody. Like, she had lost something. It was my party and my responsibility to take care of the members who had attended that party. Plus, it was very strange to see her lying alone and thinking.

I gave her space to recover and passed by. I did it several times because I was running from here to there to fill tub with samosas and glasses with coke. At last I was exhausted by the work load and trembled down on the sofa in the same room where she was sitting.

She looked at me in a strange way and asked, "Hey, Ryan. Everything is good?"

I replied, "I'm but I didn't see you are doing same."

She said, "Can we, just talk?"

I said, "Yes, tell what you want to say?"

She said, "Not here, somewhere alone."

I asked, "What happened? You look worried."

She replied, "Please, somewhere alone."

I said, "Okay, let's go to the terrace. No one's there."

She said, "That's great, let's go."

She grabbed my hand and pulled me over to the terrace. We togather stepped up to the terrace.

She said, "Your girlfriend will not come here, right?"

I said in amazement, "She is my Girlfriend. She can come wherever she likes but why you asked?"

Her face became dull and sad. She sat on the chair at terrace and nodded her head down. The wind was slow and the temperature was mild cold. Her open hair were waving along with the scent of the clothes. They were hitting like a bullets of an assult rifle to me full of strangeness. There was complete silence for 5 minutes and I was feeling awkward standing like a dumbass. As I tried to walk down to stairs, she grabbed my hand and pulled me over her.

I asked, "What had happened to you?"

She said, "I don't know. I just..."

And then she slowly held her hand back of my head and pushed it towards her glowing face. I can clearly smell the sweetness of her fragrance her small lips touched mine. I can totally taste the load of strawberry lip gloss which she had applied to herself. I tried to push her away but she again grabbed my jacket and pulled me, not letting me go. We both were calm. At that time I wasn't feeling anything. I was just a guy who was being kissed by a girl. Her taste was sweet, cute and adorable. After few movement later, she looked into my eyes and I can clearly see her wet loaded eyes. We both were good friends but I never thought that she will ever do something like that to me. It made me feel amazed.

Suddenly she just pushed me. Placed her both hands on her face and sat down on the chair in sobbing position.

I moved down stairs wondering that what the hell just happened? Was I fucking idiot? What is wrong with her? Does she loved me? But she had a boy friend and she had told me already that she loves him madly. Then why she did something like that? I was totally confused.

Hours later when party ended, my girlfriend walked to me and asked, "What happened to you?"

I said, "Nothing, it's just a workload."

She said, "Don't try to fool me. Something is clearly worrying you. What is that?"

I said, "Nothing yarr, I'm just fine. Feeling stressed by work."

She said, "Okay fine, whenever you want to talk, you know I am always there. I'm going home. It's getting late. Bye and love you."

I replied, "Take care and love you too."

Yes, I lied to her. But what should I have told her? I wasn't know what the hell was happening or just happened there.

I was confused and finally shared my this feeling to my close friend Khushi. She listened to me and answered my questions.

She said, "It wasn't just a kiss, it was her emotions."

"It was the way of expressing her feeling towards you which she wasn't able to tell you. Clearly, she was scared but also fed up of holding her feelings inside her. So she expressed it by kissing you."

And then suddenly one message notification popped up on my screen. It was hers saying, "Sorry for what I did in your party. I like you but you know, I have a boyfriend and you too have a girlfriend. At this time, eithter you had understood my feelings or you might be still confused."
