It Is About The Planet Earth

Re Earth:

Satellite carrying of 50 people landed on earth and they got down on planet earth. Two of them are very old around 70 years and the rest of the people are all in between 20 and 30 years of age. Earth is so beautiful and it is all the green everywhere. There are so many plants all over.
As they were living in space for all the years from the year they were born, they did not get the chance to see earth so close. They took the permission from the old aged couple who had experience living on earth few years back and touched the plants and water. They felt so happy and never got this soothing feeling in these many years. Though they heard about the earth in bits in the past, they would like to know in detail what happened to earth.
Few enthusiastic teenagers Ram, Anna and Scott kneel down in front of the old couple and questioned him, ‘Sir, why don’t we see any mankind here?’
The old man exhaled deeply and said, ‘There was very beautiful mankind present till I was 20 years old. There were 7 continents and 200 plus countries on earth and they were all beautiful but they were greedy too.
They were the people who invented this satellite and found a way to save the mankind if any unexpected harm happens to earth from outside but nothing happened from outside. They made a lot of mistakes and ended the mankind here. Only good thing they did at the end was that they sent us to space with much-needed stuff to survive for 50 years’
Ram asked, ' I understood now. As there is no other planet so survive in universe we were in space for years from the time we born’
‘Yes, my dear. The earth was divided into developed, developing and underdeveloped countries. No matter what the status was every country ruined the planet earth in their own way. Every country wanted to develop so quickly so they had no time to save the earth. Few countries made the holes to earth to get the oil and they hardly tried for an alternate. Few other countries made the holes to get the raw ornaments. And most of the countries established so many industries to develop but they forgot to control the emission’
Peter questioned, ’it seemed everyone was aware what was going to happen. Why they did not invest time in saving earth rather finding new planets?’
The old man replied gently, ’you are right my boy. Every individual knew they were doing wrong and they knew that is going to happen in future but every generation thought that since it won’t happen "now," then why should I bother. They invested in discussing on global warming, emission controlling, nuclear weapon controlling in forums but when they went back home they ignored all that was discussed. Developed countries to retain their position and developing countries to get the place in developed countries and underdeveloped to develop and get some recognition, they always invested in escaping from earth to save the mankind rather clean up the mess they created on earth. Of course, that’s why we are here but we lost all of my brothers and sisters.’
Anna had a doubt how come all the countries lost the mankind and asked the same to Old man.
He replied, ‘Yes, even we were not sure how it happened but happened finally in our generation. Due to our past generations mistakes we suffered. Planet earth was not hit by any outsider it was just hit by ourselves. Few countries hit by earthquakes and few other by extreme temperature and few other by extreme snow. Then they realized that earth is going to end and randomly selected few candidates from all the countries and sent us to space to regenerate the mankind. We were able to survive for 30 years in space with the stuff we had and no we had no option to survive there so we landed here to regenerate the mankind on earth and keep it as our best place to live’
All of them took the oath, ‘Now onward we will treat planet earth as our mother and we will not disturb the environment. We take whatever is needed to live not more than that. We won’t be greedy and we will give better life to next generation’
The old couple felt happy by looking at them and their promise.
