If They Did Not Get, Then?

As a traveler of life, every moment, every situation, every feeling, and most importantly that one person. In friendship, it is said that friends are everything for us, but every time that friend needs to bestfriend?! Well, no because people are always different. Here's a story of two best friends named Jiya and Kartik. Now, let's focus on the present first. It was evening 7 pm when Jiya with her mug of coffee was sitting in front of her window looking outside. She looked very sad and lonely but there was a reason. She was just thinking about something, meanwhile, suddenly she kept her mug aside she went to her bookshelves filled with lots of books and started searching for some book. A number of books were tremendous but that one was still in search. After searching for some time she got her childhood album but was not satisfied with it and again started searching. Then finally she got what she wanted her school and college years album and was the happiest person at that time. Smiling, she opened the album and saw the first photo of her and Kartik. Just looking at these photos she started thinking about those days. From today two years ago they use to live in Mumbai with their families. Till then they were best friends but suddenly everything changed. It was about 9 am in the morning a mail popped on her laptop, saying job mails. She just heard the sound and rushed towards the laptop. Opening it she read the mail and was no-where. She has been getting an offer for her dream job in Kolkata. Reading this she just took her scooter and went to Kartik's house to tell about her job. She rang the bell, he opened it and she told him everything about it. He was shocked, happy but sad from inside. Actually, he decided to tell her everything about his feeling but he kept quite thinking the time is gone and if he would tell her she might get distracted from her career. But his biggest fear was, 'If he lost the friendship?' But on the other hand, the same thought was also in Jiya's mind. She expected that Kartik would stop her from going there but it is said that "Expectations hurt". So, both remained quite. After two days she had a flight for Kolkata and reached the airport but disappointed to not see Kartik. She tried calling him but unfortunately not able.....!

Thinking about all this while looking at the album, tears ran through her cheeks. Suddenly rain started and while looking at the window the bell rang.

There was a letter from someone, she opened and read. It was from Kartik, reading this she was again happy after many days, then she realized that tomorrow is her 25th birthday and Kartik still remembers it. He had a surprise for her on her birthday. The next day she invited her all friends but was waiting for him at her front door. While she was waiting, one of her friend Aman with his two-year-old daughter came to wish her, while busy talking, Kartik arrived and saw them both with that two-year-old girl. He got upset and disappointed, kept the gift on the chair and went, while Aman went and Jiya saw the gift on the chair. She realized that he was there and went without meeting her, but luckily she saw him just going outside the gate. She ran and called him from behind saying, "Wait, where are you going"? He turned and looked at her saying, "Happy birthday! I have kept the gift on the chair, bye." In a very low voice, she requested him to say, "Please!" Somehow he got convinced and came with her. She asked him, "Why did you leave without meeting me?" After some silence, he asked her, "Is that guy your husband and the girl daughter?" She understood everything and explained it to him. After this conversation, he asked her the reason for not getting married but there was no answer to this. She asked the same question to him, and he replied that "I was waiting for you since the day you left for Kolkata and was worried about our friendship, so kept quit!" After listening to this she also cleared all things about what she feels for him. At last, they got the chance to speak up and clear all things #seedhibaat.

Everyone gets a chance or opportunity to speak, share feelings, but instead, they think about the other things a lot and miss the chance. Well, here Jiya and Kartik got a chance to straight talk, but if they did not get, then? So, whatever you feel, know, want to talk, share just speak up. It's important....!
