I Am A Dusky!

They get worried because I don't have fair skin. Maybe my dusky skin would get me rejected during my marriage proposal. And who is gonna marry me? They have the fear of rejection. Sometimes the same reactions I get from my relatives, because I don't have fair skin.

As I am having an Indian skin tone i.e. Shyamala or Sanwala. I am neither too dark-skinned nor do I consider myself fair; so dusky would be a right adjective.

Actually, the Indian mindset believes that Fair skin is everything and also Indians are obsessed with the fairer skin. They don't see whatever you have achieved or what you are but for them, skin color matters a lot.

It is sad, yet a common mindset of people to find a fair skin bride, without even questioning the guy's looks. In our society when someone born is blessed with a dark complexion, they start to talk negatively about it. Indians are obsessed with fair skin.

But, I am not bothered by my complexion. I don't know about the Fair skin but yes I know that I have the dusky one & I wear it with confidence.
